I have so many mixed feelings about this. I adore the book so much, it's one of my favourites ever, but the movie was bad and I'm not a Sherlock or Doctor Who fan but people seem to be divided about Moffat's work. I do think it makes a lot of sense as a tv show though. I'm cautiously excited. __________________

I'm looking forward to that. I'm probably a small part of the fandom (who watches and loves both DW & Sherlock) who is okay with Moffat's work. Compared to "other" writers, I think he's good. But you're right. Cautiously excited is the appropriate reaction. This can either go really bad or be really good. It's on HBO so I have some faith.

Yeah I definitely trust HBO over any other network and while I'm not familiar with Moffat's work he seems really passionate about the novel so that's definitely a plus.

That's definitely true, I just hope the quality is closer to the first 2 seasons of Sherlock than S4.
