Doing a quick search there was some talk about season 5 maybe being the last season by one of the Hulu execs but it doesn't seem like that was ever confirmed. I think that's all it was. Just talk. It seems like they'll go for as long as Elisabeth Moss and the writers want.

It's scary to think how close we're getting to a handmaid's tale society. I would worry what other civil rights SP might revisit and decide, these aren't essential.

Okay so I searched for this and is not something I know at the top of my head.
 We got a teaser for S4 last Feb 2021 and the premiere of the show was April 2021. The full trailer was released last week of March 2021 a month before the premiere date. __________________

No worries. I get days when I'm lazy to Google anything.
Another thing that's making it even more difficult to watch the show is because it's starting to look like real-life. Though in a way, it makes me look forward to the next season because all we want is a happy ending for June and all the handmaids. Serena can vanish off the face of the Earth, I don't care about her. And Aunt Lydia too. __________________

 This is gonna look like a Serena and June showdown (with Aunt Lydia on the wings too).LOL at Fred's burial. It's so extravagant and excessive and totally in-character of Serena and how she'll grieve for him. __________________
