AMC+ appreciation thread #1: A varyiety of exceptional programming!

Welcome to the thread everyone!wave: I've been checking out AMC+ this week & it's it's been fantastic. There are many excellent shows on there. ''The Drowning'' is 1 of them that I've gotten going on. I just started watching ''The Oslo Killing'' today. I've watched the first episode of ''Rillington Place''. I did already know about that story, because I've seen the film ''10 Rilington Place'' that starred Richard Attenborough & John Hurt. I also watched that first episode to ''Cold Blooded: The Clutter Family Murders''. If anyone has not yet watched AMC+, it's recommended to do so & worth it I think.

You're welcome. There are some notable differences to AMC+ compared to other streaming services. 1 is that there is not a log in screen if you want to sign in using it on Xfinity from what I've seen as there is with Hulu, HBOMAX, Netflix etc,. The price is also cheaper for whatever reason on Xfinity than using a PC or the app for it on a device. Thankfully there are no ads while watching shows or movies on AMC+ & there are free trials available. Xfinity just had 1 of AMC+, but I didn't watch much on it during that time. By the way, AMC+ debuted last June. It does not currently have the AMC anthology series ''The Terror'' on it currently. Hulu does have it at this time for fans. That's 1 of my favourite AMC shows. I have yet to finish watching season 2 of it though. I have read about ''the AMC+ show that debuted in June titled ''Kevin Can F Himself''. I am not planning to watch it, but it's made a lot of buzz I think. Let me know if you check it out.

Hi everyone! I'm letting you know that the ''Rillington'' miniseries is going to leave AMC+ on Prime October 3rd. There are only 3 episodes of it, so still time to watch if you haven't yet. I haven't watched episodes the 2nd & 3rd episodes of it yet. Along with ''Creep Show'' & 'Mad Men'' that's likely what I'll watch on AMC+ today.

Hi guys. So, there's some new stuff on AMC+ & I'm curious if you've heard of or watched some of it. 1 show is titled ''Anne Boleyn'', which has I think an all or mostly black cast & is about the final months of her life. There's a bunch Christmas themed films on AMC+ that will leaving after this Saturday, such as ''National Lampoon's Christmas Vacatation'', ''The Polar Express'', & ''Jack Frost'' are others leaving this weekend. Now, I did just watch ''The Polar Express'' on Starz on Demand I think it was. ''A Christmas Carol'' from 1951 leaves AMC+ next weekend. That is my favourite Christmas themed film overall that I've watched. ''A Christmas Story'' I'm a fan of as well. Also, ''Bad Santa''. So, plenty to watch on AMC+ this month Enjoy.

I noticed on Prime Video that subscribing to AMC+ individually is not allowed at this time. I needed to re-subscribe to Prime just to get AMC+ on there. There's more shows on A.M.C.+ that interest me than Amazon has of originals. So, I'm cutting back on other streaming services such as ESPN+ for a bit at least as I enjoy having AMC+ more than it. I am a big sports fan though. Prime is how I'm able to watch AMC+ programming on my T.V. as I'm not the 1 who pays for the cable here, but through my cable box I have the Prime Video app. I also enjoy streaming films & T.V shows on my T.V. more than a cellphone or computer. I did get going on "The Little Drummer Girl" & there are shows I want to see, such as "Gangs of London" & "The Oslo Killing". Hope that more watch AMC+ shows as there's a lot to explore. "Mad Men" eventually I plan to see all of.

Hi guys. Prime is having AMC+ Available for $4.99 per month for 2 months, so I'm going to check that out this week. If you get a chance, it's worth it I think. Also, if you want to try to find AMC+ shows on D.V.D. it's perhaps a good idea to search local library card catalogues. The county I live in has some including ''Cursed Films'' & ''Gangs of London'' season 1, which I checked out yesterday.

Also, Alison Brie is in a new ''Comedy'' Spin Me Round'', which is scheduled to be released in theatres this summer & will also stream on AMC+. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/mo...fc-1235134027/

I started watching "Mayfair Witches" tonight on A.M.C.+ & its been solid this far I think. It's about a neurosurgeon played by Alexandia Daddario that learns she is a heiress to a dynasty of powerful Witches. It is basd on "Lives of the Mayfair Witches" which were written by Anne Rice. I also want to catch the show "Interview With the Vampire" on A.M.C.+.

Anyone seen the film "Paint" on AMC+? It has Owen Wilson resembling Bob Ross, with a blonde perm & his character's in it is named "Carl Nargle". It is about a public T.V. painting show's host, which is Carl who has someone come into his life that is younger & a better painter steal everything & the people that he loves. I will likely watch it at some point. I am going to catch "Freeway". I have so much to watch on this streaming service. I want to get going on "Happy Valley". That show received excellent reviews.

I am doing some other subscriptions right now, but I do plan on getting amc+ again in a little bit.

Yeah. I have a free trial as well that ends in hours. I will be subscribing to it for at least next month. ''Killing Eve'' by the way was recently added to AMC+. I began I think either last year or in 2021 watching ''The Oslo Killing'' on A.M.C.+, but did not finish it & it has been removed from there. I do not think that it is on DVD. Hopefully it returns to AMC+ sometime. ''61st Street'', ''Bang'', ''The Beast Must Die'', ''Kin'', & ''Ragdoll'' also are not all on AMC+ currently. They each are on DVDs though. ''Ragdoll'' stars Henry Lloyd-Hughes & Lucy Hale in it, has gotten terrific reviews & has not as of this time been cancelled.

As you can tell perhaps, I am a big fan of AMC+, but have not used it as much as I'd like to. In part because I have other streaming services that have taken priority over it as they are cheaper for me. For Horror fans there are a lot of movies in that genre on AMC+. I do not mind some, but typically I do not watch them often. I did just watch ''Silent Hill'' on DVD, but that is not on AMC+ at this time or any streaming service. For Documentaries or Docuseries there are a bunch of interesting ones I think on there including: ''Between Black & Blue'', Cold Blooded: The Clutter Family Murders'', ''The Dakota Entrapment Tapes'', & ''Ministry of Evil: The Twisted Cult of Tony Alamo''.

I did watch all of Killing Eve and enjoyed it.

I love horror movies but just don't have time to really watch a lot of movies, i prefer tv shows.

Oh. All right. I started watching the Docuseries ''No One Saw a Thing'', which is disturbing. I might not finish it. It is about a town in Missouri that had people in it decide to take the law into their own & hands & kill a bully in front of supposedly near 60 people & they decided to conspire to keep it a secret. This event happened in 1981. Ken McElroy was the man they slayed & he had a rap sheet, but I do not agree with ones taking the law into their own hands as they did. Anyway, there is a new season of ''Creepshow'' on AMX+ to start October 13th if ones are interested. I have seen some of season 1 & it is good I think.
