They could, although in one of the recent episodes, Robert said he was going to go home, and not have children.

Cotton Candy 03-06-2004 07:45 PM

Ah, that doesn't mean anything.

IndyFan 03-10-2004 07:58 AM

Last night, I saw an episode that was new to me.
Ray was trying to talk at a funeral, while his Mom and Aunt were feuding, and Robert was making his "funeral noise".

Cotton Candy 03-10-2004 12:36 PM

I watched most of it also last night It's one of my favorite episodes. Robert and Marie really shine in that one.

IndyFan 03-11-2004 07:59 AM

Robert has always been my favorite character.

Cotton Candy 03-11-2004 10:29 AM

Robert is great! I think Robert and Frank are my favorites. I'm sorry, but Frank is just the most lovable jerk to ever grace the world of television, .

IndyFan 03-15-2004 08:10 AM

I'm going to get the chance to see the "Debra at the Lodge" episode this week. That is one that I missed this season.

IndyFan 03-16-2004 08:12 AM

Someone on the last thread mentioned that the Lodge episode wasn't that great. It's not one I would tape to watch again. I did like Robert & Raymond getting their chocolate milk, and fighting over the cereal prize.

It's already in the Top 100 on Amazon. I'm thrilled that they've finally decided to release the show on DVD.

OMG, an ELR thread. Awesome. I love this show. And the coolest thing happened, 2 weeks ago. I met ... Ray Romano. In Queens, NY, at this restaurant 'Joe Abroshimentos'. I was like in shock but I got to shake his hand! It was soo cool.

After meeting him, I am most definetly getting the dvd set.

Cotton Candy 04-20-2004 10:23 AM

That is so awesome! In Queens!? I don't live too far from there! Wow I know how you feel. I met Doris Roberts and Peter Boyle last year and it was so much fun

Sadly, I missed the last two episodes, but I hope to catch them in re-runs. I can't wait for the next episode. It sounds really good.

Where did you meet them? Did you get a pic/autograph? Did you freak out, or were you content? I was speechless,

Cotton Candy 04-20-2004 01:10 PM

Well, Doris Roberts had a book signing, so I wasn't in shock as I purposely went so I could meet her. Peter Boyle came, which I was not expecting at all, so I was freaking out a little. I think that I was pretty calm to their faces, although I was flipping out inside, .

You're welcome

Yep, not long at all!

IndyFan 05-05-2004 10:55 AM

This weeks episode had some funny moments. I like the way Robert hopped on the couch with his legs under him, all excited about having a "gossip session."

'Raymond' Up for Ninth Season at CBS
By Brian Ford Sullivan

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- After nearly three months of "maybes" and "probablys," CBS and Ray Romano have reached an 11th-hour deal to bring back "Everybody Loves Raymond" for a ninth and final season.

As expected, the show's swan song will be for a shortened season of 16 episodes, down from its typical production order of 24 installments. It's also likely some of the episodes will be clip shows, much like "Friends'" final season.

It's believed CBS will pay roughly $5-$6 million per episode for the 16 half-hours. While not quite the $10 million per episode NBC paid Warner Bros. Television for the final season of "Friends," the deal nevertheless marks one of the most lucrative in television today. Whether or not Romano will retain his $1.8-$2 million per episode salary wasn't made clear.

Romano and Phil Rosenthal created the series, which comes from HBO Independent Productions and Worldwide Pants.

LMAO!!

This show is freaking hilarious! I loved last week's episode with Robert posing as a model while Ray took his picture. :rotfl:

Did anyone watch the season finale this week?
Robert & Raymond are so competitive. First they were arguing over who would have to take Marie when she was widowed. Then as soon as Raymond decided she should live with him, Robert wanted her.

S.A.S.H.A. 06-24-2004 02:46 PM

I saw the season finale a month ago. It was hysterical. :lmao: It's so sad how Marie has her sons wrapped around her little finger.

I just saw the episode where Robert is "discovered" as a model.
I wasn't expecting it to be a scam, but thought it was hilarious when Raymond was getting in to the photography.

ComeAwayWithMe 07-19-2004 09:03 PM

Am I the only one who thinks that sometimes it seems like Robert loves Debra? Well maybe love is too much but it sometimes seems like he's jealous. In one episode that I watched today Robert knew more about Debra than Ray did.
