Thanks for starting the thread Josie.
At least one of two persons on ff who gives this show a try, thank you. I really loved the first ep, the story and the characters are so well written, it's a must see for me. And I highly recommend it for anyone who likes period series with dark & mystical elements. Tom Riley as Da Vinci is so damn good! And Laura Haddock as Lucrezia is just a goddess. James Faulkner as Pope Sixtus creeped the hell out of me and Alexander Siddig as the Turk won me over. __________________

YW Glad you are liking the show so far.
Leo and Lucrezia were the interesting couple of the episode, but over all the show was really well done IMO. The Pope was freaky, and not in a good way. All the religious guys seem to be preverted |

He totally was. And do you know what is more freaky? That nothing in that context has changed. :/ Anyways loved this particular scene so much, it shows how good the art direction and the cinematography is on this show. Aww and the last gif with the bird landing on his shoulder and Leo's smiling and his look at the end, like he wants to fly away with them too. * __________________

The bird scene with the animations was pretty amazing. One of the most meaningful of the episode. I also loved the scene where his invention was displayed. I hope someone puts a gif set of it on tumblr soon.

Yes, that scene was also great, I haven't seen it on tumblr either, maybe one merciful Da Vinci fan will post it.
Are we allowed to post promos, which already were shown on Starz? 1x02 Promo

It was. You should check it out and we can talk about it then.
And Starz already renewed it for a second season. The premiere ratings were so good, that they gave green light for Season 2. __________________

IKR? It's stated that there will be 8 episodes this season. Have you caught up with the last ep, Josie?
I'm so happy for Eros Vlahos, who plays Nico, that he's got a much bigger role in this show and will therefore get more recognition. He was really good in the last ep, gotta love that kid more. __________________

Loved the last ep, it was not Leonardo Da Vinci, but Leo Holmes.
It was great to see, how they explored the demon situation with a consequential way. Yep, the pope is still freaky, no one can top it, not even the mysterious prisoner in the dungeons. BTW; if anyone really likes this show and is interested to have a board, should vote for it on the Summer Poll. __________________

Seems like I'm the only one who watches this AMAZING Series.
It is really good IMO, anyone who likes period time series with dark, mystic elements should give it a try. The last ep blow my mind again, the story, the acting is just incredible, it's one of those series which seems to be predictable on the surface, but it's quite the opposite actually, nothing is predictable, maybe only that Da Vinci always seems to find a way out, but that won't last long I predict. Loved to see the Turk again, he's such a fascinating character. Can't wait for the next ep, go Da Vinci, go! __________________

^ Glad to hear that Kara. It's really a good series, but as I said it's more for the likes of period time drama lovers.
Can't wait for you impressions, enjoy the ride. __________________
