The Boys {#1} ;         + The Boys is set in a universe where superpowered people are recognized as heroes by the general public and owned by powerful corporation Vought International, which markets and monetizes them. Outside of their heroic personas, most are arrogant and corrupt. How do you all manage to watch 8 eps so fast? I can only manage 2 a day and mostly binge on weekends.
 My favorite character is actually Homelander.  I know he's a psychopath but there's something about Antony Starr's acting that I really enjoyed.  Then my other faves are Billy, Hugh & Annie. That ending though...what a cliffhanger. No wonder the show's renewed already.  __________________

He is. I'm glad we got that small backstory on him.
I usually don't like "stock" villains but he is nothing like that and I really have to credit Antony's acting otherwise, I wouldn't care for this character. I think my threshold for gore & violence has gone up because I wasn't fazed by any of the graphic scenes we got on the show.  __________________

Antony is an amazing actor and he was excellent in Banshee

I haven't seen Banshee and now I want to watch it because of him. I also didn't know he's from NZ so wow, the American accent is very good.
