I dislike Lena for introducing Eddie to this street fighting thing. It just made me so uncomfortable to watch the last scene with him. I really hope this was her last episode!
Also Eddie acted like a angry boyfriend when the team met Buck at the store. Hell, his anger the whole episode was because of the lawsuit and he couldn't talk to Buck. :rotfl:
The Michael, May, Harry scene with the cops was heartbreaking. I will never understanding why some US cops are like this.
I saw this post on tumblr about Buck. Which I agree with 100%.
Quote:
A few things, before people come for Buck over the lawsuit:
- He was visibly uncomfortable when his lawyer used personal information against his coworkers to defend his case. He never intended for them to be hurt by any of that, but some of it needed to be said.
- Some of the points made were absolutely fair, though. Buck’s already been medically cleared. His work had been restricted because of Bobby’s input, to the point where he couldn’t really do his job.
- Buck’s been off duty for ~5 months, whereas both Chimney and Bobby have had much shorter periods away from work after medical / personal issues prevented them from working.
- Buck isn’t “whining.” I’m glad Chimney defended him. He was crushed by a firetruck. He almost lost his leg. He almost died from an embolism. That is a lot to cope with within less than a year.
- Eddie’s taking it personally because this lawsuit took a personal toll on him. He relies on Buck for support raising his son. His entire routine was disturbed by it. So, he’s lashing out.
- Judging Buck based on what Eddie would do in a similar situation isn’t fair, because Eddie was a soldier before all of this. The expectations he is used to are not the same for Buck.
- Buck apologized to everyone, but more importantly HE TURNED DOWN A MILLION DOLLARS JUST SO HE COULD RETURN TO HIS JOB. He won the lawsuit, but the outcome wasn’t what he wanted.
