Things have been super quiet ever since, do you think they actually learned and realized how bad it was making Harry look? I sure hope so and I guess it also says a lot about how much they pay attention to the fandom.

Yea, in the middle of a pandemic, I really don't want him to look like someone who is irresponsible and disrespectful about everything that has been going on.

The wedding I can understand, but everything after, they were pushing it and I'm glad it stopped.

People fear there's going to be even more backlash if the casting rumours about the Policeman are true now. It was fine when he was a bachelor who was ambigious about his own sexuality but now? The LGBTQIA+ community will murder him.

I actually don't think I know about that yet. I haven't read anything into detail about the character that he will play.

I think it was a rumour like a year ago, and it was based on a book (It's about an LGBTQIA+ person but I don't remember the specifics) and now those rumours are being brought up again. It was fine when his sexuality was ambigious but with this mess that's going on (IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC), there's a lot of backlash already in general.

And I totally get people being upset with the pap pics and the PR stunt happening in the middle of the pandemic. I don't like it either and I'm glad they at least stopped with the pap pics of them just walking around, and that now all we get is news headlines. It's still bad but at least there was a small improvement. But I gotta say that if there's backlash regarding the movie, that I find a bit unfair. If the fans believe he's in the closet, then IMO they should understand why these things keep happening...

Edit: Okay, I thought you meant the backlash was coming from the fandom, now I get it. :') It just sucks.

I get the backlash but as you have said Catia, people outside of the fandom don't really know that he's still in the closet so this film would be an outlet for him

Some of the stunts that have happened in the past (like the yacht thing lol, who remembers that?) have left me feeling way more upset, sad and anxious than I should, and I don't want this fandom to have that much power over me tbh.

So this might be an unpopular opinion, but for the past years I've just been going with the flow, because that's the best way for me to deal with it. I just accept things as if they are the truth, even if I don't really buy it. If Harry is now dating Olivia and Louis is with Eleanor, I'm just... Yea, whatever, sure.

And I don't dislike Jeff, I think Harry had really amazing things happening over the past years, so I don't think Jeff is doing a terrible job at all. I could do without the same stunts over and over again, and for me the worst of what was done was in the beginning of this year, during the pandemic. But overall I'm just not caring for all of the reasons mentioned above. :')
