That's the one thing I wonder too because if it's cancer then he shouldn't blame himself at all. If it is a car accident, then maybe he was in the car too?

I really hope they are going to explore this.

Maybe he just blames himself because of the many times he's disappointed his dad or got him in toruble. In his hallucination his dad was saying that he wondered how he would raise this stupid kid on his own.

Those moments really got to me. I felt so bad for him. I want flashback of the family in that time. Stiles had panic attack and breakdowns. I wouldn't mind seeing all of it and how his dad helped him through.
