There are lots of theories on who he is. If he's actually apart of the supernatural, or related to one of the main families.

I don't want to get my hopes up with pushing around theories, because some of them sound really good. It looks like he'll be experiencing some supernatural situations right along side the Sheriff with in the next couple of episodes. I really hope he survives.

I have a few theories about the character, too, thanks to reading on IMDb. His casting info did indicate he'd become part of things. The show doesn't have time for random, so I'm looking forward to whatever comes next.

He's thrown right in the middle of things. I don't see how he could not pick up on things. It'll be good for the Sheriff to have someone who knows what to expect on his side.

His strategy was good. It seems like the type to talk his way out of any situation.

I still love the moment when he basically laughed at the sketch of the ONI, and quickly composed himself before looking back at Agent McCall.

The other sketch was of Zorro, which I'm remembering now means "Fox" in Spanish. Really clever, show.

And yeah... want to see more of Ryan. Maybe he'll stay into season 4.
