I think a close friendship could definitely continue to develop. They laid out the foundations of that pretty well this last season

If they hug we'll know how to judge where the relationship is. If they are comfortable enough to be that close with each other well know that yeah they're to a point we could consider them real friends. I consider them friends now, but I'm hoping for a deeper connection. It doesn't have to be romantic, but something more, maybe something almost equal to what Scott has with Stiles.

I don't think they could ever reach what Scott and Stiles share, but they do have a lot in common. So I can see them connecting in ways that Stiles may not be able to.

No one could come close to a friendship that Scott/Stiles have. They have been friends for years and been through things together, so they have a very special friendship. Scott/Isaac have a good friendship too but their friendship is different than Scott/Stiles friendship.
