I understand, I don't like recasts either. I hope it never happens on Revolution, especially with Billy/Miles. He's too good, so replacing him wouldn't work!

I would rather they kill him off then recast him. The cast is perfect as it is. Recasting any of them would just mess it up.

Hmm I don't kniow, I loved Billy on Rizzoli but he was just on two episodes so he could be replaced.

As for Billy as Bass, to me david is the perfect Bass and could see nobody else on the role.

You never know how it would go until the other actor is in the characters shoes so lets not get defensive. Both guys are amazing. Billy was on more than 2 episodes of R&I and if he were replaced, I'd notice. That would just suck.

I just feel that Billy is perfect as the Han Solo type of character and couldn't see him as Bass.

Nowhere did I say he was not amazing too, although I am a bigger David fan and think Monroe is the more complex role so glad he got that part.

my bad, he was on four episodes. Canada is just on season 2 of Rizzoli so did not know he had been back.

I am a soap watcher and actors get replaced a lot, so maybe why I would be fine with a recast especially if it is an important role as you say.

It does suck about him not being more in Twilight as Charlie is by far one of my favorite characters on Twilight and think Billy is awesome in that.

Everyone has there own opinions. I just wanted to put out there that comments on here aren't meant for bashing an actor or character. So I hope you don't take it that way. Each actor is appeciated for what he or she brings to their characters.

That's one of the things I don't like about soaps. They constant switch actors. It's confusing. I still have my favorites on Soaps, and they've all pretty much stayed, but when they start recast it just feels weird. Agent Dean is a big part of the R&I fandom and they've pretty much committed him to the role. IDK if they want to persue something later down the line, I hope they do, but a recast would just not work for me.

Rizzoli and Isles is a summer show right? And Revolution is a fall one? Like Michelle Hurd appeared on 9012 in the fall, and in the Glades in summer?

Carrie Preston is doing The good wife now in the fall and is doing true Blood in the summer.

I don't always like recasts but some of the biggest names in soaps were recasts. The legendary Erica Slezak on OLTL was the second viki.

Jill on YR is a recast, and so is Nikki. Those are legendary characters where the recasts ended up being better than the original so sometimes it does work.

If Billy can do both though, it would be perfect.

I really liked his relationship with Jane.

I wouldn't rule it out, it wouldn't be the first time. If The Originals is picked up by the CW, Daniel Gillies will do it and he will do Saving Hope as well.
