I loved that we finally got some resolution for the F/O break even if through a flashback. It was everything I wanted but we never got until now. I'm okay though because the tied it into the episode nicely. I'm such an Oliver ship whore. I actually liked him with Susan at times. Yet, tonight made my F/O heart sing. The love is still there. I actually finally truly believe it's possible they will get back together. Oliver carrying her even though he was injured and in pain, suffering from blood loss was beautiful. Even after the helix fiasco and just refused to let her go.
Rene and Curtis are funny together. I love their bickering then Dinahs comment about them making a beautiful couple or children something like that. crack me up. Oh along with Curtis naming his balls. John was bad ass jumping for that ladder. He wasn't going to do nothing. He was determined to save F/O. The OTA elevator scene was precious. Everythung I've been missing for a while. Also glad Lyla and Dig made up. John realized he wasn't being fair to her but I also think sort of like Oliver and Felicity's problem. Lyla realized not being honest was part of their problem so she can clean about a lot of secrets. I think it really helped those two. I'm so worried about William. What's chase play? Also did it seem like maybe William wasnt with his mom? His you know my mom seemed desparate. Like he wanted info abut her. __________________

This show had alot of momentum going for it.
It got knocked down a peg or two deciding to focus on Oliver and Felicity. I get it. People on this forum love the pairing but its not a universally loved pairing. Maybe it was but it isn't anymore. I am sorry but unless a hardcore shipper of Olicity and ate all their scenes up. It didn't have alot going for it. I do like the rest of the team working together but that's about it. __________________

Arrows been full speed for a while. It hasn't had a slower paced episode in a while. So I' didn't mind it. Plus I thought it finally gave closure or she sort of resolution to the F/O break up we should have gotten so long ago. I didn't mind it in this epsidoe because they did a good job of connecting the flashbacks with the present story line.
Did you not like the Dig/Lyla moments? They seemed to work things out and come to an understanding with each other. I was worried about them. They can never break. We need a solid couple on this show. Also we had great OTA moment. The elevator shaft scene with the 3 was really great for me. Gave me S1 and S2 feels. Also felt like this epsidoe had some good character development for Felciity. The ending scene with her apologizing and realizing her actions were hypocrisy were great. Plus Oliver showed a lot of vulnerability. Mostly still about what Chase did to him. I found it interesting though because i had to wonder if S6 would be about him discovering himself and find out out who he is as a person. Or is that gonna be what the finale is all about? Also, I still love Dinah. They have to develop her more next season and give us more backstory but she's so chill. I can't help but love how cool, calm and collected she approaches everything. Plus her teasing Rene and Curtis was hilarious. __________________

The episode was just ok, nothing great. I did love the arrow team working together though. Fast forward through all the Oliver and Felicity crap which is a shame because I used to like them before season 4 happened.

I agree I also adore Lyla/Dig as well and they should be the strong couple on this show. I really love them together. I LOVE Dinah she such an amazing addition to the team, and I would love to know more about her - like a backstory next season. She kicks ass! I know right now they have other worries, and I'm worried about William as well - they NEED to END Chase for good! I love all Curtis, Rene and Lance.. yeah love the bickering b/w Curtis/Rene but they always have each other's back - GREAT FRIENDS! I MUST say I do miss Thea a lot and of course I will always miss Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy); She did the best w/what the writers gave her but I still feel they "pushed" her out - now she suppose to return but it won't be the Laurel Lance I adored, so many people were hateful towards her character; I felt bad for Katie Cassidy, I'm sure she read the nasty comments different places. Oh I also miss Ragman as well, he was a fantastic part of the team. This episode was ok - hoping that it was the END of Felicity/Oliver - I loved the team working together it was great! I love my Curtis, he's like the smartest person on the team IMO anyway - he's BRILLIANT BINGO! you said everything I wanted to say about the "Olicity" stuff, I never cared for this couple and I do believe this episode showed it was OVER b/w them - its called CLOSURE. They aren't loved universally you so right about that b/c I know many who would FF their scenes it was ruining the Green Arrow/Oliver - this is a action packed show and it really went downhill when they were together. The ship has sailed. I loved the team working together as well and so ready for them to get Chase. I really love Dinah - she's a GREAT addition to the team and hopefully we get a backstory about her. I love how she's calm collective but very street smart and Curtis is BRILLIANT like he's the smartest person in the room as I mentioned in other posts. Glad Lyla/Diggle worked things out and she came clean about a lot of stuff.. Love Lance, Rene - Rene/Curtis bickering is a trip but they always will have each other's back ... Green Arrow has a fantastic team so he needs to suit up w/them and lets get going.. I want my badass GA back like NOW! C'mon writers we need GA to be the one who GETS CHASE!!! N0123Girl - I merged your 3 post together. If you are the last person to post and hasn't been over 48hrs please edit your last post to add more. Thank you.
This season of Arrow as been amazing for me. Its been so captivating. This episode did slow the pace down and it seemed a bit weird to have it 3 episodes before the finale but whatever it was needed. Plus you can see it was all set contained. They were obviously saving money to use for the finale. That as obvious. However, i stand by it being a good episode. Is?it one of the best of the season? No. Not at all. How can it possibly be with a season this awesome. Regardless though it thought it was well written and well constructed. It had depth and emotion and the write amount of banter. You can hate Olicity. That is 100% fine and understandable. Especially after the disaster that was the second half of last season. We can all agree even the most dedicated of shipper fans agree there. Or at least seem to based on my knowledge. Im a ship jumper. Ive probably shipped Oliver with everyone at some point. However, even hating a ship i just dont see how one can't see this as much needed wether you saw it has closure or possibility. The writers did a good job i think of making it both. What i liked was that even the flashbacks served a purpose. This whole episode was once again about trust all around. Felicity and Oliver and Lyla and Diggle. The flashbacks help get us into Feliciys mind set which was much needed.... LAST YEAR. Better late then never though i guess. Also like that the whole chin up thing seem to come back into play when Oliver was trying to pull her back up. She seemed to have to do a chin up on his arm to get back to his neck. Almost made the flashbacks seem even more to me. Plus I'm digging this new trio of Rene/Curtis/Dinah. The banter was great between them. The seen with them at Dig/Lylas door was hilarious. Especially after having to see poor Dig trying to sleep on that tiny couch. bwhahaa. I was rolling. I think i liked this episode because it honestly had a very season one and two vibe and that worked well for me. But to each their own. __________________

I liked the Diggle/Lyla scenes.
I am warming to Dinah but admittedly I still prefer Laurel as the Black Canary. I am glad though we'll be getting Black Siren. __________________

Dinah is so chill. I love her. I want her developed more but obviously she's still the newest member so hopefully that gets explored next season.

This episode was much better than the last one. I wasn't expecting a great episode because it would focus a lot on Oliver and Felicity. My thoughts about them have changed in season 4, but I must admit that I really enjoyed the episode, and it was good to see that flashback. It might be surprising that they had sex in the cave even after their breakup, but I think that's totally fine. They seemed to have a good time like in season 2 and in the first episodes of S3 and S4, while the drama didn't ruin their dynamic.
Also it was good to see an episode with development, funny interactions, and not a bunch of missions of the team. It would be really nice if the writers tried to alternate more both scenarios. Great to see that Diggle and Lyla solved their issue about confidence - a topic that was focused a lot in this episode, around Oliver and Felicity. Best part of the episode, Curtis, definitely, with his interruptions to both couples, OF in the flashbacks and Diggle and Lyla. Dinah finally had some screen time on this episode and was nice to see her being involved a bit more. Poor William... this doesn't look good. I don't really have hopes for him at this point. I just need to see the closure with the topic of Prometheus vs Green Arrow. __________________

In didn't love episode 1x19 either Gina. I went into this episode not sure what to expect but I generally enjoyed. It was better than anticipated. I also felt it had a very season one and two vibe. So that's why I liked it.

I loved this episode a lot. But as an Olicity fan I found it very enjoyable. I loved the focus on them and their relationship, I think it was necessary. Even if you didnt ship them, fans that do want to know where they stand. I do think the episode gave them both closure and a little glimmer of hope.
For one thing, we found out they slept together after the break up and I personally LOVED the flirtiness between them. Their makeout/sex was HOT! It was sort of sad that Felicity wasn't ready to get back together but I understand that she felt it was about trust, not just the William secret. And Oliver didnt really work hard to try to convince her back then. It tied really well into the current scenes, where they hashed out the issue of trust and Oliver opened up to her about his guild of enjoying his kills during Bratva etc. It was a nice moment of honesty from him and they finally had that discussion that she wanted 11 months prior. So yeah, in that sense I do think there is hope, especially when she went to see him at the end of the episode and asked him to figure out who he was. To me that was her saying, "figure out who you are and what you want so we can be together again." In general I just loved all their banter and interactions in the episode and how Oliver carried her out the entire time. I also wanna say I think Emily's acting has improved a lot. I had issues with her in seasons 3 and 4 for coming off a bit too harsh and overdramatic but I think shes toned it down a lot, which I appreciate. Not much to say about the others TBH, I enjoyed the group moments and everyone working together to say Olicity. Glad Diggle and Lyla worked out their problem I suppose. |

I like that the flashbacks actually did play into the episode and made sense. The only thing I still didn’t like was we saw that they still just didn’t deal with the issue. Oliver was wrong for lying but Felicity was wrong for just shutting him out and not trying to rap about it. __________________
