Thought I'd start a thread on what I feel is one of Arrow's most underrated characters and actors. I'm so happy that Waller is still going to be used on Arrow even with the Suicide Squad movie coming out. Marc said they'll be more Amanda coming this season. Hoping she gets quality and lengthy screen time now that the actress isn't busy with other projects like she was during last season, which I thought despite her very brief appearances was the best thing about that season.

So...any other fans out here, let me know!

Agent Waller’s major presence in the DC universe gives her character the potential to cross-over into other DC shows – and Cynthia is ready!

Cynthia is in a couple of episodes so far this season. It seems she’s only shot flashbacks so far. When season 3 ended with Waller being shot, Cynthia really thought that was the end for her character. We are so glad she wasn’t killed off!

Cynthia doesn’t know if Waller will be handing the A.R.G.U.S. leadership over to Lyla.

She’d love to be able to see more of Waller’s background explored on the show, but it would be difficult with the other new characters and new villains constantly being introduced. It’s also unlikely that we will see much of the suicide squad this season, as producers will want to keep things separate from the new movie coming out.

Plus actor availability is a major factor. I for one would love to see a Waller-centric episode! Cynthia would love a scene where her character smiled, or had a glass of wine and let her bun down! But it has to make sense within the story.

Stephen Amell is fun to work with and gives Cynthia the lowdown on what’s happened in the show each time she returns, as she doesn’t get the scripts in-between.

Cynthia’s favourite scenes are when she gets to shoot a gun, such as at the end of Season 3, and anytime there are more of the cast in the scene e.g. in episode 221.

Thank you for the thread creation. I love such characters like Amanda Waller. Strong, smart, independent and modern woman. She is cold as steel dagger. Inescapable like fate. Wonder what a man can be worthy of her?
It is not the first time the audience can not appreciate the actress at her true worth. But filmmakers value her. Waiting her appeariance.

I agree, it's not the first time that an audience can't appreciate the actress in her work. But Cynthia works really good, I like the personality she gives to Amanda

I don't always agree with Amanda's methods but I do like her character and how strong she is! Cynthia does a great job playing her

Right. I did not care for the 'lets just bomb everything' method they had in season 2. It made her look reckless more than anything.

Same. I'm sure Viola will do a great job but Cynthia is my Amanda Waller.

Cynthia is amazing as Amanda

Yes the bombing and torturing of S2 was not good at all but there were moments where you could see she was trying to help Oliver in the way she knew how

She always helped Oliver. She could look like a "cold" person but I'm sure she's more kind when she wants to.

Like Cynthia said I want to see a different side of Amanda. I'm cautiously excited for what Marc has in store for her future appearances this season.
