Episode Three of Season 1, Oliver Queen needed some computer help, goes to his company's IT department and meets Felicity Smoak.
After a funny introduction, stammering and her titling her head at his ridiculous lie.

The showrunner's twitter feed exploded with “the blonde IT girl” who made Oliver Queen smile.

After that Olicity was unstoppable.

Dated a computer whiz Cooper Seldon; both were members of a Hacktivist Group.
Felicity graduated from MIT with a master's degree in Cyber Security and Computer Sciences.
So, being a "coffee girl" for Oliver Queen wasn't going to be her thing.

↛ October 10, 2012, Arrow hit our screens and we knew this would be a story
about Oliver Oliver's journey from "The Hood" to inevitable "Green Arrow"
We knew we would have five years exploring his tortuous time on the Island
and we knew the main love story would be of Oliver and his long time sweetheart
Laurel Dinah Lance.

October 24, 2012 came, and that's when the dark Oliver Queen met the IT girl
Felicity Smoak, and everything in this series would change.
During their first scene, we saw the first smile from Oliver Queen, and it was because
of this talkative human girl. It's probably the first person he ever saw as a true person
Because before her, all of his times were just dark

This season one, is the beginning for Oliver and Felicity, the pairing that would quickly
be known as "Olicity" and during Season 1, it was pretty obvious how quickly they caught
the attention of the viewers and the media, especially when Larry King mentioned them to
one of the biggest honorary shippers 'Stephen Amell'

This was the start of their relationship, and through it we got to see the happiness
she brought in his life, the friendship they begin to build.
The friendship that was almost instant because of all the help Oliver needed from Felicity
the biggest help came when Oliver needed her help after he was shot as his alter ego "Green Arrow"
and that's when Felicity learned of his secret identity.
Together, with John Diggle they would form a little trio of saving the people of Starling City

The shippy moments were there, with Felicity quotes, "It feels so good having you inside of me."
To the moments where Oliver made sure Felicity know she could trust him.
Felicity telling Oliver she isn't leaving if he isn't.
Their progress happened in each episode, and every time you saw them on screen, their
chemistry was undeniable and their development was a joy to watch.

Uh, it’s just like a… good friend once told me. I had to find another way.. ”
Felicity: You killed again and I am the one who put you into the position where
you had to make that kind of choice.
Oliver: He had you and he was going to hurt you.
There was no choice to make.

↛ Season 2 is months later after Season 1, it's the season of knowing the unknown when
it comes to Oliver and Felicity
growing feelings for one another. In the premiere episode, Felicity and Diggle search for
Oliver who they find decided to flee to Island a little bit after his best friend died, and
the fall of the Glades. The A-Team convinces Oliver after an initial failed attempt,
to return with them which he does.
And we even got a nice little moment, "I am happy to see you."

Some things would change, and that would be the way he was when he was The Arrow,
he would now have a no killing policy because during Season 1, he killed and his best friend
who died was against Oliver killing.
The plan would held to be true until the moment where Felicity's life was in danger.
The Count threatened to kill Felicity and before he could even attempt to go for the kill
Oliver shot him multiple times with arrows.

Of course Felicity felt guilty that he had to kill for her but he made her know that it was
her life on a line, so there was no other choice to make.
When Oliver got together with one of his former loves, jealousy sparked in Felicity but of
course Oliver convinced Felicity, "You'll always be my girl." and that was something for
Felicity to hold for her as she sighed in relief and smiled with the #1 Olicity shipper John Diggle looking on.

Oliver and his former lover broke up after difference in philosophy and Sara told him that he
needed someone to harness that light that is still inside of him.
Of course as viewers, we knew it had to be Felicity because the only time he's ever truly
happy is when he is around her.

When a close person in Oliver's life died (who Felicity didn't even like) Oliver disappeared
and it brought a tear to Felicity's eyes.
Felicity didn't even understand why she was crying, and her friend John told her she's crying for Oliver
That showed how connected they were, that she could shed tears for a person she didn't like because of Oliver's pain.
The first time she saw Oliver after that, she just hugged him.

As season 2 progressed, we would get so many moments to cheer about, and of course
the main one was the almost, "I love you." declaration.

I'm happy. ”
Felicity: Then say never. Stop… dangling maybes. Say it’s never going to
work out between us. Say you never loved me. Say-
Oliver: Felicity. *he kisses her* Don’t ask me to say that I don’t love you..

↛ Season 3 was the declaration of truth for both Oliver and Felicity. After a long five months, their feelings
grew into real love for one another.
A love they could no longer deny. With encouraging from his best friend,
John Diggle, Oliver finally decided to go after Felicity
There was no longer any threats towards them being together

Finally, Oliver asked Felicity out on a date with him, and even though
she was surprised, there was no hesitation for her to accept his date, " Well,
we've already exhausted every topic that one would normally talk about on
a first date and a second date and a third date, and every date, actually,
and I've already seen you shirtless."
The nervous part of the date would slowly past though, and they
would connect even more. Oliver reminisced about his first time meeting her, and the special
little detailed he remembers like the red pen she had that day. Even awwing Felicity even more.

Sadly, there date would be cut short because bomb explosion and Felicity was the one injured.
It made Oliver push Felicity away because he felt that being with him would only put her in danger.
She was sad and told him to just admit that they'd never be together and that he never loved her.
Oliver reassured her with a silenced kiss, that he loves her and he wouldn't admit otherwise.

Since Oliver was pushing Felicity away, Felicity was sure she didn't want to live her life
like that, being afraid of the fear of what will happen.
So, she had to move on because
she couldn't be sitting in the dark waiting for the day Oliver would suddenly become ready to be with her.
She started a relationship with Ray Palmer, out of her rebound but still very much loved Oliver.
When Oliver was eventually going to tell Felicity the depths of his feelings, he saw her kissing Raw.

Their feelings wouldn't be hidden for too long when they finally decide to make love for the first time
at the place where no one would expect their first time to be. The location of, Nanda Parbat
Before they made love, Felicity finally for the first time told Oliver about her love for him,
"Knowing you has changed my life. You... opened up my heart
in a way I didn't even know was possible."
3x20: The Fallen episode will always have a special place in our hearts. Acceptance with no
more pushing each other away.

Although they would split up a little bit when Oliver became Ra's Al Ghul, which he had to become
to know how to defeat him. Oliver did some dark things at the time but eventually they
finally found a way back to each other and Oliver and Felicity decided that they wanted
to leave town together and enjoy their lives together, and the season will end with a memorable
"I love you."

You thought I was leaving too? Not a chance. ”
Felicity: Thank you for always being on my side.
Oliver: No place I'd rather be.

↛ Season 4 can be considered the FINALLY! season. They were finally together
in a lovely bliss, seemingly as unstoppable as ever. Even though they were far away from
their Starling City home, their vacation seemed to eventually turn into their forever.
They were happy just being happy and together, and for Oliver, this was the first time he was
with one woman for months without anyone else being involved.

Oliver was sure that Felicity was going to be the one for him,
so he planed to ask her to marry him.
By putting the ring in the cupcake desert. Sadly, their day was interrupted by members from
Team Arrow who needed the services of Oliver and Felicity in Starling City, of course Oliver
wasn't sure if he wanted to go back to his past life, however, Felicity convinced him that she
wanted to go there, and although she's been with Oliver, she's been helping the team during
missions as side gigs secretly from Oliver.

Oliver was okay with that news, and the couple decided to stay together while being
with Team Arrow to save the city.
They were the successful couple while working side by side, Green Arrow even gave his
girl a nickname of, "Overwatch" while on missions, and even a lot of accidents like
talking lovey-dovey on the wrong lines.
Also, they decided to live with Laurel and Thea.

"I fell in love with you for many reasons and one of those reasons is is
that you always find a way,"
Their love would continue to be strong until midway through the season, and in front of
many people, he explained his love for her, and asked her to marry him which she said yes to
Sadly, after that marriage proposal, there were bullets to their car (all because of
Damien Darhk) and because of that Felicity got paralyzed from the waist down.

Felicity assumed that Oliver wouldn't want to be with her anymore because of what happened
but for Oliver, the love for him stayed the same and he made sure she knew that was
in it for the long haul, for better or worse
And Oliver made sure Felicity know, that she would walk again regardless of the Doctors doubts of that ever happening.

Her new disability wouldn't be the thing that break them, it would end up being Oliver liesHe found out he had a son, "William" and instead of telling Felicity about the son
(he just found out he had) he decided listen to the mother's "Samantha' wishes and keep
the child a secret but eventually the truth came out and that was Felicity's undoing.
Oliver and Felicity were going to get married and Felicity was blindsided and hurt over
the fact that Oliver could keep such a huge secret away from her, so she gave him
back his wedding ring.

Thanks to Felicity's friend engagement gift (spinal implant) the second she could walk again,
she walked out of his life while giving him his wedding ring back in the process.
Thank you for always being on my side.
No place I'd rather be.
The two didn't get back together in the season but they vowed to stay by one another's side.

Best on-screen kiss for Stephen Amell?
"It would probably be Emily Bett Rickards. She's a good kisser. There's always a nervous energy
when you kiss somebody, and we had known each other and are such good friends before in such a platonic, non-romantic way.
It instills some of the nerves that are needed, that make a good kiss."

Rickards previously told ET that the actors have such good chemistry on-screen because they have no boundaries.

"There's not really a boundary between us anymore, as actors, like [with] touching and as far as that goes
because our characters don't have that either. I think that's what shows the connection."

I started shipping them from the start (1x03), because Felicity was the first person to get Oliver to really smile and to believe in him . They had a bond right from the start, they started as Strangers, then to friends and from there, loving each other(Soulmates), There journey has not been a easy one but that is what makes them amazing, From the first meeting, the looks, hugs, the fights, the makes ups, the I love you's and kisses and they love scene. These to love each so much and are also very protective of each other. They have been through it all, and it is not over yet and I can't wait to see what happens next with these to. - Hazel

I was instantly a fan from the moment the secret vigilante met the IT girl. It was like an automatically chemistry that sparked on my tv screen. It probably made it easier for me to ship them since I didn't have any ship before their scenes showed up, but of course I never assumed anything would come from their interaction so, I wasn't all the way shipping yet because I assumed she was just a guest star for an episode even if my eyes were telling me different. Since, that day they have grown as friends, partner and lovers and it's been a nice surprise to watch their development from that first scene at the Queen Industries place. Right from that first scene, they had it, and of course as the seasons went on, they proved it without how their scenes were. One of my favorites is the 2x02 scenes when Felicity threatened to quit but of course Oliver didn't believe her. It was the first time we really saw them go back in forth with the great banter and all of the coffee scenes were hilarious. Oliver wanting her to be coffee, and she like that ain't ever happening... even though at the end they eventually made up and she gave him a coffee and made sure he knew it was a one time thing. There are so many moments I can think of when it comes to these two, and the journey isn't even over yet. - Tia

I started this show rooting for Oliver and Laurel. However, as season one and two progressed I just couldn't understand how Laurel could ever truly trust Oliver with her heart again. It was one thing for him to have treated her badly in the past but a whole other thing for him to continuously do it in the present. They only seemed to bring out the worst in each other. So while my enthusiasm for L/O died, my infatuation with the idea of Felicity and Oliver started to grow more and more. I truly thought, "wow, these two just make each other better." My heart was a little sad because I was so sure the writers would never go there. Oliver and Laurel were destined to be. So low and behold my shock when it did happen. Oliver slowly over time brought Felicity out of her shell she had been living in for so long. She found purpose again something she seemed to have lost. She also accepted Oliver for who he was now and now who he was in the past. She slowly started to make him see he could be more and deserved more than the life he was living. That first date with them was utter perfection but of course it couldn't last, not then. Oliver had to be Oliver and not believe he could be more than just the Arrow. He still hadn't learned to balance those two lives. Eventually it seems both Felicity and Oliver finally manage to get a handle on things and just maybe they can make it work. We see Oliver wanting nothing more than to marry Felicity only for his past to come back and bite him in the butt. Instead of being honest he defaults back to his survival mode of lying and it breaks them. However, in one of my favorite scenes we see Oliver do something he never did in any relationship and truly be open and lay it on the line regardless of it maybe being to late. He acknowledged that maybe he didn't deserved her or her trust but that she was his always and he still wants that chance to be his. It was truly a real, raw and beautiful moment. It's the first time I feel like Oliver owned up to his mistakes something I was waiting for him to do with Laurel and never did. So this is a huge part of why I ship them. Oliver truly grew as a person and Felicity was a huge reason behind that growth. - Crystal

Here's why I ship Oliver & Felicity: She never called him out on his ridiculous lies despite how easily she could have, because she could tell he meant well. He gave her a chance to step out from the IT department and use her skills for something greater. She gave him the belief that he could truly be better, do better. Felicity never judges him for the actions of someone he isn't anymore. They balance each other out. She can make him see reason when no one else can. He saves her just as much physically as she saves him emotionally. She can easily make him smile even in times of crisis. It's the little things, like Oliver remembering what color her pen was three years later or Felicity giving him the hug they both know he needs. They make each other truly happy. They're the best versions of themselves because of each other. There's so many facets to their relationship; they can be angry, bantering, sweet, rough, gentle. They're partners now, in every sense of the word. Also, Stephen and Emily's chemistry is off the charts. - Kate

Once again, Amell and Rickards prove that they thrive in the small moments, but also the large one’s.A long awaited episode centered on Oliver and Felicity, Amell and Rickards fell right back in sync with each other. It’s hard to imagine two people that work better together than these two. Every time they share a scene, Arrow suddenly makes sense. In both timelines, Amell and Rickards prove why they work so effortlessly together. Personally, the quiet moments are always Amell and Rickards strongest. Whether it’s a single tear down Oliver’s cheek as he tells Felicity he may enjoy killing, Oliver gently lowering Felicity down from the Salmon Ladder or even a tender hand hold when they make it out alive. It’s these moments that prove just how talented Amell and Rickards are.
