I hope we see some flashbacks with them together. I don't remember when was the time when they stopped to show those kind of flashbacks.

Laurel is so freaking adorable  I will never understand why Oliver cheated on her.. she was so good to him

Charlone 04-25-2016 06:34 PM

Me too... She didn't deserve the cheating. Sara could be beautiful, like Samantha, but no woman is worth to cheat on her. I think he just did that because he wasn't enough mature for a relationship. That sometimes happens in real life, and I think it wasn't Oliver's case.

I agree to an extent. Back then Oliver wasnt ready for any sort of commitment whether to Laurel or his future at QC and it showed in his behavior. I think he caved under the pressure of it all.

Also though I've always felt that a part of the reason for his behavior and treatment to Laurel his because she let him get away with it. She admitted to her dad she knew Oliver cheated when she found out about William ( a scene I love). I think thats something they could have gotten over especially has they both grew and matured but the writers never showed it on screen. They showed Laurel being stronger and not letting Oliver get away with stuff but they kept not showing Oliver treating her better or trying to make up for his past mistakes. Thats what ultimately led to me not rooting for them as a couple.

Right, Queen Society was another big responsabilty for him too. I know it wasn't something nice, but he needed the experience to be in an island and pass through all those things. When he came back, he acted differently with her (and, I think I'm not wrong, he didn't cheat on her again, did he?). I don't even remember why they're not together .

I think that the reason why Laurel was stronger and she accepted him plenty of times and never regretted to have him on her life, it's because she truly loved him. No matter the cheating, his attitudes, she kept being in love with him. I'm not saying that she ardently loves him, but deeply. Maybe she didn't want to be with him in a relationship but she couldn't leave him. I'm not sure but I think she mentioned in S1 that she didn't want to have him out of her life.

And I agree. I liked both LT and OL in S1 but I didn't prefer OL just because of all what Oliver did. Maybe it's just something personal because I do hate cheating, for me it's one of the most disgusting things a person could do to her/his lover.

Laurel was always too good for Oliver... even now, she was far to good for him. Even in their friendship Oliver was barely present. I wish they had of given Oliver/Laurel more screen time.. established just how close of friendship they should have had. I still don't why they didn't... it almost seems like they were threatened to let Oliver and Laurel get close again

I felt this was my favorite episode for Oliver/Laurel's relationship. And it's sort of incredible because Laurel is now dead.

Cmtaylor531 04-27-2016 06:24 PM

I loved Oliver giving her eulogy then outing her as Black Canary to keep her legacy alive.

I'm not sure I liked the flashbacks stuff. I liked seeing Tommy's funeral but the O/L stuff doesn't make sense to me seeing how they acted in 2x01 at his grave. However, I do agree that had they written O/L like that earlier it would have went a long way towards me rooting for th because they scenes were sweet. They actually reminded me of the what 1x02 couch scene stuff before China white tries to kill Laurel. One of my favorite O/L scenes.

I loved what Oliver said at her eulogy because I know so many fans were upset with the lack of Oliver emotion and how he didn't say he loved Laurel in the previous episode. So it was nice to see him say it during this episode.;)

That tear at the grave.

I agree, they didn't even try to explore more on their relationship after the Island and after Oliver's romance with Sara.

This is going to sound bad... but I hated it. I hated everything that came out of Oliver's mouth... and it's all because I feel like he only said this stuff because Laurel is now dead. If they had established a more meaningful friendship while she was alive, I might actually have brought the words coming out of his mouth... but everything he said tonight just made me rage at him  He didn't treat Laurel this good when she was alive and that is sad.

Nice way too send off Laurel with the eulogy from Oliver and flashbacks to there dating days . right when tommy died . I had binges watched seasons 1-2, so i didn't get to savor Oliver and Laurel relationship .

Despite both moving on i always felt they still had small feelings for each other deep inside.
Sad she is gone ..

It was nice, but that was the only good thing he said about her on the episode

To be honest the flashbacks were disappointing. Actually, they didn't match very well with the plot of S2. I think the only one who really suffered her death was Quentin when we know Oliver should have reacted differently. Especially if we compare this with Tommy's death.

I stopped watching the show since season 3 and I came back for a glimpse just to find Laurel killed off! Really disappointed in how they treated this relationship from since season 2, it could have been the central partnership of this show. Never rooted for Olicity and never will. But then, I really suspected how a predominantly masculine show could ever promote a female character that could rival the leading male in power than play the usual strong-but-secondary "love-interest" card. Oh well, guess I expected too much.
RIP Laurel
