I do think he plays a good villain on the show.

He seems to be a semi-season regular. But we'll have to see where his storyline takes him between now and season finale.

I have an idea of where it's going TBH. When Green Arrow/Oliver Queen appeared in Smallville, I read everything I could to get acquainted with that character, so I'm pretty much spoiled unless the writers spin this on its head and go a different direction completely.

And John is not some fly-by-night actor; he brings in the ratings really since people know him from Torchwood and Doctor Who. And now that Alex Kingston (another Doctor Who star) is in the show, the audience will just grow. I don't think Malcolm's going to die any time soon :D

Honestly my original theory (even though I guess its somewhat screwed up now now that Tommy knows the truth). Was that that he was going to die, and Tommy would be "blame" the hood. Essentially take on the Dark Archer persona.

But we will have to see where his character goes.

I do hope Malcolm and Dinah have some scenes, though.

I wondered if Moira just "took over" the job from Robert.. since she mentioned she's doing that thing with Malcom for the last five years.. but I kinda doubt that.. otherwise Malcolm would have been on Robert's list wouldn't he?

Was so happy to see John in this, I have been a big fan since first seeing him in Torchwood - Captain Jack is one of my favourite TV characters of all time. I was lucky to meet John a few years ago at a book signing for his autobiography and he was really lovely.

If Tommy took on the persona that would be just like Harry and The Green Goblin in Spiderman. I wondered myself if it was going to happen in the last episode as was beginning to think Malcolm was dead.
