Niklaus Mikaelson (also known as Klaus) is the fourth born child of Esther,
the stepson of Mikael, the younger half brother of an unnamed child (assumed
to be named Aaron), Elijah and Finn, and the older half brother of Kol, Rebekah
and Henrik. He is an Original/Hybrid who is said to be the most hated and feared
of all the Originals.

During his mortal life, Klaus is described as impulsive, reckless, careless,
adventurous, and a risk-taker; a daredevil at heart. Katherine Pierce ran from
him for over 500 years, as well as Rose and Trevor, and now Klaus is after both
Katherine and Elena, the two Petrova Doppelgangers. The reason why Klaus was
after first Katherine and then Elena was because he needed the Petrova
Doppelgangers in order to break his Hybrid curse. Klaus used Alaric's body to
educate himself on his new enemies (Stefan, Damon, Elena, Bonnie, Jeremy, etc.).

He succeeds in breaking the 1000 year curse that held his dormant werewolf gene
in check, and he now wants to create his own race of hybrids that will make sure
no one will dare challenge him ever again.

After many attempts to kill Klaus, Stefan and Damon succeeded in defeating him
via a desiccation spell by Bonnie through Stefan. Alaric Saltzman killed Niklaus in
the final episode of Season 3 by staking him with a White Oak Stake. Klaus' spirit
was resurrected in Tyler Lockwood's body through a spell conducted by Bonnie
Bennett. The state or status of Klaus' original body is unknown.

What a season finale for Klaus! :thud: I loved the "trial" and how he managed to thwart his sirelings and Marcel's plans to kill him. My favorite moment of the episode was definitely...

Aw, I loved that!! I need to get caught up on this show ASAP! I miss Klaus so much, especially now! :love:

^ The season finale had its ups and down, but in the end, Klaus did whatever it took to save his family. :in_love: Season one Klaus was kind of meh for me. Season two Klaus was barely tolerable. Season three Klaus was the Klaus that intrigued me on TVD. Just get ready for the roller-coaster that is Klaus. :spineyes: :thud:

Yeah I'm not looking forward to that, and it's why I gave up on TO in the first place. But the snippets I've seen of this season, I started to see some of the old Klaus that I loved again and that's what made me want to watch the show again. So yeah I'm prepared for a lot of :rolleyes: and :facepalm: but at least I know there's light at the end of the tunnel :lol:

^ I love that you've seen enough of TO that you want to see more. :yay: I didn't like how emotional Klaus was in season one. As for season two, I :facepalm:ed plenty of times because of his attitude and some of his actions. Season three was when I started to root for him again. :roller: You're going to go through so many emotions while watching. Preparation is key while you catch up. :thumbs_up:

I'm prepared for it :nod: I bought the first 2 seasons on DVD yesterday, but I think I'm going to rewatch the first four seasons of TVD first and then get into TO :nod: I'll be sure to post all my thoughts when I get there ;)
