As you can tell from the title, Klaus and Elijah have had the power to absolutely destroy each other, yet they have still fought for each other when they've been faced with an enemy. Why do you think they've been able to go to extremes for each other?

I think because ever since they were kids, they always looked out for each other and despite everything, they have that intense sibling bond that can withstand even the absolute worst of times!

^ I agree with you on that. After more than a thousand years together, nobody knows Klaus better than Elijah, and vice versa. As much as I love Klaus and Rebekah, there's just something about Klaus and Elijah that speaks to me. They have been through so much together, from competing for the same girl's affections to their constant battles to their numerous attempts to kill each other. Their bonds of brotherhood always melt my heart. I'm intrigued by the fact that they have done so much damage to each other in so many ways, yet the moment one of them is threatened, the other one doesn't hesitate to fight to neutralize the enemy. Despite all, I have to say that I really enjoyed the fact that they were at odds with one another in season three. It didn't sit right with me that Elijah seemed to always forgive all of Klaus' evil deeds. Seeing Klaus work so hard to gain forgiveness from Elijah was awesome! Usually, I haven't taken sides in their battles, but after what happened in season two, I was definitely Team Elijah in season three. I do wonder what would have happened if they hadn't been forced to work together to escape death. I guess we'll never know.

I really, really love these two.
I like that Klaus actually is not the oldest, it's less cliche
They're definitely my favorite sibling pairing of the show

^ I've been waiting for months to post that hug. It was hard to seeing them at odds with one another at the beginning of the season. It was a beautiful moment to see them be brothers again.

It was implied in season two of The Vampire Diaries that Klaus was the oldest vampire in existence. Then TPTB decided to make Elijah his older brother, and that wasn't true anymore.

So do I! Their bond is so messy and unpredictable, but I still love seeing them go from fighting one minute to getting along in the next minute. It's the push and pull of every relationship between siblings.

They're my favorite pair of siblings as well. I used to hold Klaus/Rebekah above these two brothers, but I lost some of my loving feeling for them, so Klaus/Elijah were bumped up to the number one spot.

I'm going to be re-watching the season three finale tomorrow. I'm going to be hit with so many feelings when I get to that scene.

I can't watch a episode here or there unless I know that I really, Really Love the episode.

^ That was my issue too. I could never find the time to do a re-watch. Then one day, the opportunity arose and I just did it. I hope you find the time to re-visit old episodes. =)

If I went by that criteria, then my re-watch list would be significantly shorter. I would also be really confused because I wouldn't remember what came before that episode. Which episodes have you loved?
