I think TPTB could have done so much more with Klaus and Damon, especially considering how alike they were which would have made their moments very fun to watch. It's a shame that TPTB didn't tap into all of that potential.

Since Klaus knew exactly who Damon was before they officially met, I wonder if Klaus thought Damon could be his partner-in-crime.

^ That's true. I have no doubt that Klaus would have had a hard time working/partnering with Damon. I imagine there would have been a lot of arguments, and something tells me that Klaus would have ended those arguments by snapping Damon's neck.

Even though Damon wouldn't have been able to hurt Klaus the way Klaus was able to hurt Damon, I don't think it would have stopped Damon from going after Klaus anyway.
