^ Oh, yeah.
 When you think about how hard and how long Elijah worked for Klaus' redemption, it made perfect sense that Elijah decided to leave the physical plane when Klaus did in the TO series finale.      =)__________________

it does make sense. but I still found that scene to be surprising that they both died. I thought Elijah would stay to take care of Hope.

^ I had a different reaction to the series finale. I thought Elijah was going to die and Klaus was going to live. It never crossed my mind that they were both going to die when the episode ended. It has taken me years to be somewhat accepting/happy with the way things turned out.

^ Yes, it was. I really shouldn't have thought that the Mikaelson brothers were going to be alive by the end of the series. Characters on shows like The Vampire Diaries and The Originals don't get happy endings. Even though they both made it clear in that final moment that they were going to die, I didn't actually believe it until I saw that they had used the stakes on each other and then they both disintegrated.
