I think he's fatherly even when the cameras stop rolling. For the most part only the cast had more young uns and then Clark and Ming Na.

I don't get people who ship Skye with Coulson, he treats her like his own daughter, LITERALLY! And Skye feels like he's her father (more so than Cal, I imagine) so where did the pick up the romantic vibes from?
