In 2019, Marvel will release their first film starring a female superhero - Captain Marvel. Meanwhile, despite comments that they favor the idea, Marvel bigwigs are yet to announce a solo Black Widow film. The sad truth is that, as superb as Marvel's female superheroes may be, they just haven't had their chance to shine yet. As a result, the Huffington Post took the opportunity to ask Elizabeth Olsen whether or not she'd be willing to play the starring role in a Scarlet Witch film. She gave a mixed response: “It’s not something I’m opposed to, but it’s also something that has to make a lot of sense. I wouldn’t just do it just to do it. It’d have to make sense for how it advances in the world. But I’d be open to talking about it. I’d never say no to just an idea.” The answer shows real wisdom, with Olsen clearly open to the idea, but wanting a solid script and a firm place in the MCU.

On a potential solo Scarlet Witch film.

It's a nice idea, but I don't think we will ever get a Scarlet Witch solo.

I feel like if she did get her own movie, it would have to include at least Vision or another Avenger.

I would watch it but only if Magneto/Quicksilver is in it and Marvel/FOX made it together.

As much as I love Scarlet Witch, at this point all I can think of with solo films is that a Black Widow movie should've already happened and if they can't/won't get one for her off the ground, I can't seem them doing anything but paying lip service to considering a SW movie.

That's likely never gonna happen. Fox doesn't really need Marvel since their movies aren't struggling like Sony was so we'll probably never see a crossover. It would be nice, but I'm not counting on anything.

Never say never who knows we may get a Mystique movie before a Black Widow movie I know it seems we may get a Harley Quinn movie before a Black Widow movie.
