OP coming soon

Are you planning to watch Iron Fist? I saw all 13 episodes in one day.
|
I am! How was it?
|
Almost done with The Iron Fist , different then the other Net Flix marvel series . That is good , the show has a supernatural theme .
|
I'm gonna try to watch it this week.

TFTNT!

It has it moments . Frankly the female lead Jessica henwick really stands out . She is a owner teacher of a dojo . Her fight scenes are excellent . Finn / Danny rand is ok , his dialogue doesn't really at times confuse you. He has mad skills in his fighting scenes .
The 2nd story of meachum family , has more of a whole story history , to me , more interesting. Jessica stroub as Joy meachum plays her role well . David wenham as the Dead now alive Harold meachum, started off real good intriguing how he came back to life . He has to live out of sight . His deal with the head of The Hand madam gao , older elderly who has powers of the mind . Plus her Group is feared by all . I watched it in 2 days (13 ep) . There seems to be a lack of much of the Hidden monastery where Danny was brought to as a boy and trained all his life in martial arts . Ton of flashbacks to the plane crash that killed his parents , he survived . Not till the ep 12 do we really understand from Danny and madam gau why he really survived plane crash into the mountains . Ep 11-12 huge fight scenes are well done not to matrix like . All in all if people looking for 13 episodes of continuous action fighting bloodbaths , that isnt that type of story. Love / deceit / corporate espionage as well as supernatural stuff |
I think Finn Jones is pretty badly miscast as Daniel Rand/Iron Fist. The guy just can't do tough.
Daredevil is miscast too. They cast a posh, bland, soft-seeming English actor as a tough, working-class Irish-American. Matt Murdock he is not. Also, his head is shaped... distinctively, and looks weird in the mask. Additionally, they seem to have made no effort to get somebody who can pass for Greek as Elektra. I was one of the few people who liked the old Daredevil film, but Elektra was the worst part of that, because Jennifer Garner was all wrong for the part. Cage is the only one of the netflix shows that I like the look of. The actors seem to be getting the roles right, it has Mahershala Ali, the lead character is well cast, it rings true more. I don't have much of an opinion on Jessica Jones. I like the lead actress, from Breaking Bad, but Jessica Jones is a character invented after the period of Marvel comics that I'm interested in, so the character doesn't have the same resonance for me that so many Marvel characters do. |

Yeah, I saw all the bad reviews for Iron Fist. I'll probably still end up watching it though.

He's not a character I've been interested in even in the comics, so I wonder why they rolled him out for a tv show, seeing as he's not a major character at all and he's kind of out of date. He dates back to the Kung Fu movie craze back in the '70s. Though I disagree with the accusation that he's an example of cultural appropriation. White people have been picking up martial arts and bits of Asian cuture with it for generations. Are they going to insist white people can't do martial arts? When Japan picked up guns from Western traders hundreds of years ago, nobody said it was cultural appropriation.
I think Finn Jones is very miscast, though. He was pretty bad in Game of Thrones too, and most actors do great in that show. |
Who would you have liked to see in the role instead?
|
I don't know. Most actors would be better. But if I was running this I wouldn't have made a show about Iron Fist. He's out of date character.
|
They probably needed a more charismatic actor. I hope he doesn't stink up Defenders.
