Not only do I think that Spider-Man going back to Sony is the best thing that could've happened, but as someone who knows far more about comic books than anyone on this board, I assure you that Kevin Feige is by no means the "master producer" and the reason for any "cohesive narrative."

I've explained to all of you time and time again that Feige's mistakes have been many, including shoehorning Edgar Wright's Avengers-incompatible Ant-Man script into the MCU and cutting Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne out of their rightful place in the Avengers, to driving Joss Whedon out of the MCU by forcing him to alter his Avengers storyline(including cutting Hank and Janet out of the Avengers) and causing too much interference into the creative process, or doing the Thanos/Infinity Gauntlet storyline without Adam Warlock and cutting Warlock out of his own story, or insulting comic book fans by making Mar-Vell a woman and denying Mar-Vell his own place in the Captain Marvel story as Carol Danvers' lover who passes his mantle on to her after dying of cancer, to his ridiculous insistence on making Peter Parker some bratty teenager when Peter hasn't been a teenager in the comics since the 1960s and the Peter Parker that has existed in the comics since the 1970s has been the adult 20-something Peter Parker, etc. The list goes on.

How can you tell the story of the Avengers without Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, the two founding members who have been on the team longer than anyone? How can you tell the story of Ultron without Hank Pym, who created Ultron? And why change those plotlines in the films just to accommodate Edgar Wright when his film didn't fit into the MCU and he only ended up quitting? How can you tell the story of Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet without Adam Warlock, who is to Thanos what Superman is to Darkseid? How can you tell the story of Captain Marvel without the male Mar-Vell, without whom Carol Danvers would never have become the new Captain Marvel? That's like making The Godfather and cutting out Michael Corleone, or making The Silence of The Lambs without Clarice Starling or Hannibal Lecter. How can anyone on this board justify the MCU cutting out the main characters from their own stories? This isn't "a little different" from the comics, this is altering the entire point of the stories and characters.

And now I'm glad that Stan Lee's own daughter is speaking the truth about both Disney and Kevin Feige. He doesn't give a damn about Stan Lee or the legacy of Marvel. He was waiting for the old man to die so he could take over and remake Marvel into his own "woke" image. Hopefully now that Spider-Man is back with Sony, we can get a REAL Spider-Man story consistent with the great comics from the 1980s and 90s, hopefully teaming Peter with Felicia Hardy(Black Cat) and Silver Sable.

All good , i know you would be happy , im in different about it , i love the direction MCU did with it i love the connections of marvel movies so im sas to see that end

lol Well of course, misery loves company (but that's never going to work on this board like it does elsewhere) It's not a done deal, I heard their still negotiating. If it doesn't work out, it is what it is cause they never needed Spiderman and they are fine with everything else they have and coming out. At least we got to see Spiderman in the MCU and in scenes with all these characters. I do hope they come to an agreement though. If not Sony will inevitably screw up again and go running back to Marvel just like they bombed TASM 2. Sony always needed Marvel more than they needed them, they don't need Spiderman to stay afloat. They will be just fine but I hope Spiderman stays in there.

While I'm sad Spidey won't be part of the MCU anymore, I can also see why a lot of Spider-Man fans are happy to see him away from the MCU. Comics Spidey has always been his own man and sometimes it felt like the MCU was turning him into Iron Man Jr. The reason why he has always been one of the biggest superheroes worldwide is that he spoke to the common people. He was just like them in every aspect except for being a hero. He never needed Tony Stark to make him popular/better and he still won't in the future. Disney too has become a huge conglomerate. They back small indie companies into a corner and then buy them up. Yes, Sony will probably continue to mess up the Spidey movies, but that's their right since they own him. Spidey was only ever on loan to Disney anyway.

I've heard rumors today that Disney and Sony reached a new deal so I hope it's true. Like I said, it's not set in stone. The massive fan reaction and backlash hopefully makes both of them come to their senses and make a deal.

Thank you! Yes, MCU Spider-Man was under way too much influence by Tony Stark. Also, again... Peter being a teenager in the MCU limits his character and what you can do with him, and those juvenile storylines were embarrassing. Peter's been an adult superhero in the comics since the 1970s. And who needs Michelle? She's not in the comics so why is she even there? Felicia Hardy/Black Cat has been a love interest of Peter's since the 1980s, yet she still hasn't gotten her due in a Spider-Man movie.

You're also right in that Peter did speak for the common man. Even though he was also a super-genius, he was unpretentious and very human. He wasn't interested in the corporate stuff like Tony.

I also agree that Disney has become way too big, buying other properties from everyone else, like Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel, and Fox. Disney now owns the rights to a lot of work done by other people that Disney had nothing to do with. I'd have preferred that Fox bought out Marvel's titles back in the 1990s when Marvel was going through bankruptcy and Fox could've gotten everything cheap. I know that Sony made a claim for Spider-Man because of that 1970s TV show that Columbia Television produced, but I still think that Fox could've gotten Spider-Man. After all, Cannon Films/Golan-Globus owned all of Marvel's film rights in the 80s before they went bankrupt and closed down. If Fox had been smart back in the 1990s, we'd have a Fox/Marvel MCU, just like WB has DC.

Kat Denning will be back as Darcy in WandaVision. Not sure why she's in that show tbh.




Emily VanCamp will be back as Sharon Carter and new cast member Wyatt Russell as US Agent.





The What If animated series will have 23 episodes, one for each MCU movie.

Seriously? I think Disney and Marvel are oversaturating the market. She-Hulk is supposed to be in the Avengers. And when the hell are Hank and Janet gonna get their time in the MCU as Ant-Man and Wasp since Edgar Wright's script is long past relevance? And Scarlet Witch and Vision? Winter Soldier and Falcon? They're giving shows to characters that don't even have their own comic books. Ms. Marvel was originally Carol Danvers title, but not many people are into the new girl. I think this is overkill on Disney's part, and their corporate greed is gonna kill Marvel.

Yes! I can't wait for She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel! I dunno that much about Moon Knight.. But glad to know that Kay Dennings and Emily VanCamp!!!! Can't wait for those shows!!!!
