Gwyneth Paltrow Is InStyle’s October Cover Girl!

Gwyneth Paltrow has mastered the art of living! In InStyle‘s October issue, the actress, mother, and Goop.com creator talked to Diane von Furstenberg about her family life, her career, and what she’s learned at 40—to make life fun! “I was very strict for a while,” she tells the designer. “I was macrobiotic for a couple of years, then I got pregnant and just ate ice cream. What I’ve learned is I want to enjoy my life, and food is a big part of it. I love to cook and feed people. I cook every day.” And that optimistic outlook—along with a healthy dose of good taste—is what continues to draw her fans to her website, Goop.com, as well as attract new ones to her just-launched app, City Guides (check it out here!): “Goop readers trust my taste and know that I know where to find cool stuff. A city guide is a fast and fun way for them to have access to where I actually eat, shop, get a manicure, and hang out.” Read more about Gwyneth’s energized and positive take on life in the new October issue of InStyle, on newsstands Friday, September 21st.

With her new movie "Thanks for Sharing" set to hit theaters on November 2nd, Gwyneth Paltrow kicked off promotions a bit early by covering the October 2012 issue of InStyle magazine.

The 39-year-old actress - who was just named Best Dressed Woman in the World - looked darling in a Diane von Furstenberg jumpsuit with Fred Leighton earrings and Vhernier bracelets for the Giampaolo Sgura shot front page while dishing about everything from her diet to not letting her two children watch television in their native English language.

On the differences between her and her husband, Chris Martin:
"Probably our artistic temperaments. Artists are sensitive; there are ups and downs mood-wise. Musicians need a certain gravitas and focus in order to write. The temperanemt that goes with someone who is creative can be challenging. I focus more on understanding than being understood."

On only allowing her children to watch television in a foreign language:
"I only let them watch TV in French or Spanish. When I'm in France, I go to [Boulevard] Beaumarchais and buy all their cartoons."

On her favorite food to indulge in:
"My indulging is a fresh baguette with cheese and a glass of red wine or french fries and fried zucchini. Or a turkey burger."

Natasha Romanoff 09-18-2012 09:31 AM

I didn't notice that before

miranstarr 09-18-2012 09:31 AM

How did they get a copy of the American release? I want to know their secret so I can get mine early too!

sprezzatura 09-18-2012 09:42 AM

sprezzatura 09-18-2012 11:59 AM

We didn't get Joss' commentary :bawl:. Seems only R1 versions will have it.

Natasha Romanoff 09-18-2012 12:13 PM

Yeah, seems like it :pout: I really want to listen to his commentary :bawl:

BryceLarkinFanForever 09-18-2012 12:16 PM

Yay I finally got my free copy! :D had to pay for shipping but oh we'll, totally worth the 3 dollars :P now I just have to wait for the release date to get it! :)

That sucks that other regions didn't get the commentary! :( I keep hoping that the extra content that Marvel/Disney said they would add to the 10 disc boxset would have cast commentaries, I would totally wait for that and it'd be worth the delay!

And that's weird they edited the scene in the UK release, I think maybe there's some viewing laws that are different? Maybe something about the scene was ruled to be changed in accordance to some UK DVD law or content rules? I don't know...could be for that reason...

Natasha Romanoff 09-18-2012 12:39 PM

Great! :D Luckily you don't have to go through a lawsuit

It'd definitely worth the wait if they include a cast commentary :thud:

Sweet Embrace 09-18-2012 01:27 PM

Which versions of the movie did you guys get? I was looking at the blu ray, and there doesn't seem to be as many features as I thought there would be.

sprezzatura 09-18-2012 01:31 PM

Me? Both - Dvd & blu-ray. The 10 disk is the one that will have tons of extras.
