I could have done without the comedy. I'm tired of the way Disney seems to feel the need to turn all its superhero movies into kids' comedies.

The comedy has always been part of the MCU, the movies are family friendly, always have been.

Shuri tricking T'Challa into kicking the suit and saying what are those were funny too. I loved their sibling relationship, it was refreshing to see such a normal and realistic relationship on screen.

I love their relationship so much. That banter rings so true to me and just the filming part, cute touch.

Marvel movies weren't always as kid-friendly as they became after Disney took over. Making things family friendly doesn't have to mean making things overall juvenile. Disney took it a lot farther, starting with Captain America. Nor do I think it's a good thing that Marvel movies are "family-friendly." It'd be better if all superhero movies were done in the style of the Netflix Marvel shows.

20 movies have been released within the MCU, by now you should know what to expect from them. If you still watch them, even though you hate how they are written, you can only blame yourself.

Mel, I loved the banter and I read about the scene before I went to see it and people were like: How is it possible that he fell for this?

No, I can blame the company that insists on adapting one of my favorite franchises into kids' pap. And actually in the long run I'm not sure how many more MCU movies I will be watching. Dropping MCU movies, like dropping Star Wars movies, could save me time and money and a lot of annoyance.

Plus your argument ignores the fact that the movies have been getting increasingly more comedic and more kid-oriented as time goes by.

Depends on your definition of family friendly? I'm not sure how humorous equals that. Seeing I literally just watched Infinity War again, there's plently of swearing and gestures that wouldn't be family friendly movies (at least what the USA constitutes as family friendly) but anyways...

He honestly should've known better. Shuri is, what, sixteen? How are you telling me that he has has a sibling for 16 years and just fell for that? Damn boy, you are so easily fooled.

You're still complaining about the prequels and the new movies on the SW board, so IDK what saved time or annoyance you're talking about. I honestly don't understand your need to be so negative all the time, just let it out once and then move on.

Mel IKR? So easily fooled. But when it came down to it, they had each other's back.

Bless healthy family bonds in the MCU universe. I love it when franchises realize that stories don't constantly need to come out of inner conflict within an established dynamic, you know?

Yes. And I also loved T'Challa's relationship with Okoje, he treated her with respect, took her advice into consideration. No I'm the king, you won't tell me what to do nonsense.

The time, money and annoyance I saved when I didn't see Solo and I'll save when I won't see anything so-called Star Wars past Episode 9.

I don't understand some people's need to gush all the time, but do I tell them to let it out in one go and move on? Nope.

Their relationship is so good that it breaks my heart what happened in IW. She had to watch that happen, I hope she can step up and lead their people out of the darkness and chaos now.

Nobody is bringing down a thread if they are being positive, constant negativity and by that I mean posting negative posts as soon as somebody says anything, even as meaningless as that they are planning to watch Black Panther, makes people uncomfortable. If you don't understand that, you never will.

Yes. I hope she'll play an important role in the next one. We didn't even find out what happened to Shuri, did we?

Being "positive" about things that are bad is not positive. But if you don't want me to post, why are you continuing this conversation with me?

Nope. I assume that because we didn't see it, she didn't die? Is that the optimist in me?
