Avatar's record is $2.74 Billion Dollars worldwide, primarily because it was a 3-D film from the get-go, and most watched it in 3D as it was intended. Endgame will hit the 3 Billion mark, in all formats, 2D regular aspect, HDR 2D in new theaters, Real 3D, and IMAX. Endgame brings the 22-film payoff...and future setup. there is no precedent.

if Endgame has a Billion Dollar opening weekend (some say it will
) it will definitely give James Cameron some sleepless nights for several weeks! remember, he has been talking a lot of smack on superhero films, and constantly whining about 'superhero fatigue', so karma has a way of sneaking up on a wiley coyote. lol. *Thanos voice* "where is your vaunted superhero fatigue theory now, Cameron? you aren't the only one cursed with knowledge of heroic tales loved by the masses!" __________________

I don't know why Cameron keeps saying stuff like that. For a movie to be as big as it was, Avatar has literally been erased from pop culture unless you mention 3D. His Aliens/Titanic movies has more presence. Also other than the 3D, I found Avatar in general to be an OK movie with a bland storyline.
