Possible Board Closure Discussion: Please Read and Respond!

Lutesse (Sherry) and ~ Jis_Bon ~ (Pari) have been discussing this, and we think that it may be time to close this board. Our post counts have been declining over the past few months and we have very few regular posters. As you know, Fan Forum requires that we average at least 15 posts per day, with lower numbers than that leading to warnings and then possible closure of the board. We would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts.

Please let us know what you think. We'd be glad to hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest here. Remember that to keep the board going, we need the commitment of a few regular, dedicated posters. As much as we love this board, please don't just post to "save" the board and then disappear again, because we'll be in the same position that we're in now if you do.

I'm really sad about this thread but the mods here, Sherry & Pari, have done a great job of keeping this board afloat considering the show only has 3 episodes with a very loooooong hiatus. So a big thanks to you both for all the hard work and effort you put into this board. :hug:

However if you both feel that it's time to close the board and that you can't keep it going anymore, I respect that. Unfortunately (I used to post here a lot especially when the board was new), I can't guarantee that I can go here and post when I can. It's pretty hard to talk about a show that is in hiatus for so long and I am impressed that you both are able to manage. So I'm okay with closing the board.

If you all decide to close, I'll see you all on Benedict's board. :wave:

Thanks for your kind comments, Lindsay! :) I want to give a lot of credit to ~MelBelle~, too, who was previously my co-mod and was also instrumental in "saving" the board in 2014.

Pari and I feel that any future Sherlock discussions can probably be accommodated at Benedict's board, making this one redundant.
Actually, most of our conversation here has been about Benedict's various projects. We hope that keeping up with just one board will be easier and more doable for all the fans of Sherlock and Benedict. :)

Oh my goodness this is so sad to see :bawl: I feel so bad for disappearing, I didn't realize the numbers were getting so low. I'm so sorry you guys. You both are so amazing, and this show and board...I would hate to see it go, I love it so much, but I know personally I won't have time to post here as much as I did before. Oh man this is so tough, but what ever you both choose I know you'll make the right choice. :group_hug:

Our numbers aren't terrible, Mel, but they all come from playing games and posting pictures. Whatever conversation remains is about Benedict, and he has a board now. :look:

I hope we'll all get together over there when Sherlock Series 4 airs next year. :nod:

It was a hard decision but we had to do it :(. Sherry is right... We couldn't keep the board with 3 person posting every day...and the hiatus between the season is very long...Now that we have Benedict's board, we can discuss his projects there :)

This is a sad decision tbh you have done well seeing as this show doesn't have a lot of . episodes to work with you all should be proud on how far you have came :woot:

It is a hard decision to do but the good thing is there is another board that you can talk about the show and the actors so fans will still have a place to go
