Definitely agree with him. The ending Nolan chose was finale but also hopeful because anybody can be Batman.

Plus, Nolan knew he was going to do ONLY three movie so he made the end perfect for the trilogy.

It was a great ending for the trilogy. Great message to send too, that Batman =/= Bruce Wayne, he's a symbol. Anybody can be Batman.
