Hrm, I definitely agree about the whole blue collar/white collar power struggle, I found that so interesting. Plus in my life I've had experience with that and were hoping to see them reveal the double standards in both areas of life, pop open the stereotypes, etc.

Definitely more integration of storylines and characters. I liked when there were scenes with Jake/Jacqueline and Scout, or Will and Bella, instead of the usual Jake/Hamilton and Will/Bella/Scout thing. Plus Charlie Hunnam is such a great actor, I would've like to see him become a real character on the show, rather than just a guy who messes with everyone's lives.

Obviously all these things would've happened on the show if it continued, like clearing up all the Bella/Scout brother-sister confusion. The family history with the Banks' and the Calhouns' were something starting in from the Pilot but never really got fully touched upon until Will Bella Scout Her Mom.

The relationships of the boys and the girls, I LOVED when Bella and Jake hung out that was so cool. And I always like seeing Will interact with Scout, but it would've been good to have scenes with him and Hamilton too.

Giving Caroline and Paige something to do other than act as reactionary characters.

*sigh* Sadly we will never know what would've happened to this show, but all of these suggestions for improvement show that the series had potential.

Plus, Hamilton is caught in the middle of the townie/richie power struggle. If the show wasn't cancelled, it could have expanded on that.

Agreed. For a show with so much potential, it definitely wasn't given the chance to develop.

I would have loved to have seen all of the characters togehter more... I can only think of a few scenes like when their in the cafe or the last episode of the season... it's a shame that they didn't merge as a group more.

I agree. I think the reason why we didn't get more group scenes was because Will/Bella/Scout were sort of the main characters, while Jake and Ham were planned more as side characters. And for the characters, there really wasn't a connection between those two groups, apart from the fact that they went to the same school.

I looooooooove that idea!!

Wolkenfuehlen, I agree, shame really. Bella and Jake should have mmet earlier and could have been a bit more girly, that might have drawn them all. By the way, are you from Germany, or a German speaking country... what with you name

I guess that, if the show had continued, we'd have gotten a lot more scenes with the whole group. It wasn't until the last two episodes that all the characters really got together and interacted. *sigh* Now if only we'd gotten a second season...

Luna, yes, I'm from Germany. You can call me Anja btw.

As far as I can remember they definitely had planned the storylines for season 2, and there might have even been a script for the pilot episode. But nothing was ever released, so there's not really a way of knowing what they had planned. *sigh*

Bumping this thread up again cause the discussion is real great and I love hearing about what people would have liked to see if we had a second season.

Do you all think if we beg the writers they'll tell us the stories they had planned?

I agree about the fact that Jake and Hamilton were planned as more supporting characters and it was intended to be more focused on the trio, it didnt really show these two groups interracting much with one another, they just went to the same school.

Id love to see more of Ryder, Charlie Hunnam is

Meh, I would have changed Bella a bit too, shes not exactly a very likeable character IMO.

I wish! I love imagining the different scenarios that could've been, but somehow I really would like to know what the writers would have wanted to happen.

I think Ryder (and also Sean) would've become regulars, and eventually Ryder would've found out about Jake.
