mother! #2 ~ "Day 6 is NOT its title"
Welcome to the mother! Spoilers & Speculation Thread #2  “A good ending is the most important thing because that’s what people are leaving the theatre with. I guess films kind of should have an orgasm, they should climax and we always sort of pushed our films to have that extreme end.” – Darren Aronofsky ▮ Synopsis In mid-October (2015), Darren Aronofsky pitched his next project by reading his entire screenplay to Lawrence over a bottle of wine in his apartment in New York and she signed up on the spot. The movie will follow a couple whose 'relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence'. Lawrence would play one-half of the relationship with Javier Bardem playing one-half of the uninvited guests. I've finished my fifth draft of the script with Jen in mind as the lead. It's a comedy called Life As Liz. PM if interested in hearing more about it. Or even possibly reading it.

So Bardem's character has some measure of fame in the picture, it would seem. This has me wondering whether Lawrence might actually one of the uninvited guests. Most have assumed she's part of the once tranquil couple (and maybe she is), but maybe not. Maybe she's some crazed fan or something??
Also, the IMDB has added these character types to the cast list: Actress. Fan Fan #1 (why is 'Fan' not Fan #1?) Autograph seeker Paprazzi #2 (who's #1?) Person in line Looter 1 (does this indicate more than one, and why no # for this one?) Good Samaritan Soldier Refugee and simply, Son. I really don't know, but it does seem to have some connection to celebrity. Maybe we're dealing with celebrity culture here? But where does the apocalyptic imagery and elements fit in? *shrug* __________________

It looks like Javier has loose lips. Background: This Spanish site not only correctly said the film was titled "Mother" way back in June but also that its release date was December 29, 2017. Presumably in Spain, which probably might be a bit different elsewhere.
