Mockingjay Part 2 is only a couple of months away from hitting the theatres, but fans are already thirsty for more sneak previews into the last and final installment to “The Hunger Games” franchise.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 will follow the events of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, which saw Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and the 12 districts beginning to revolt against President Snow (Donald Southerland) and the Capitol. In the sequel, Katniss and company will have to complete their revolution or see all of their friends and family die at the hands of the Capitol.

What can fans expect from Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), Gale Hawthorne (Liam Hemsworth) and the rest of the districts, as they battle against the Capitol and President Snow?

Speaking with MTV News, director Francis Lawrence said that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is “a real war movie,” far different from the first part, which focused on Katniss battling against her personal issues and waging war against the Capitol and President Snow.

While the second trailer to Mockingjay Part 2 was initially expected to premiere on April 24, following the release of The Age of Adeline, fans were disappointed that the trailer did not come out after all. Now, The Projection List has issued another expected trailer release date for the last and final installment to The Hunger Games franchise. According to the outlet, the second trailer is projected to come out on May 22, which coincides with the premiere of Tomorrowland.

Lionsgate has not yet confirmed or denied the rumored release date for the second trailer of Mockingjay Part 2, but the network’s CEO Jon Feltheimer recently hinted on their plans of doing a prequel and sequel to the franchise.

According to Inquisitr, Lionsgate is currently planning on creating a prequel and sequel to The Hunger Games franchise and may explore more on Katniss and Gale’s love story. The outlet cited that while Suzanne Collins’ book series ends with Katniss and Peeta together, things may change when it comes to the movies and may even continue the story beyond the book realm.

It is important to note that this latest rumor about The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 trailer is just that — a rumor. What is known is that the movie is set to hit theatres on Nov. 20, 2015.

Lmao, this makes me think the entire article is BS.

I highly doubt they got Jennifer to agree to more movies not based on the book.

Yeah, I probably should have read the article before posting.

But Jen did say she loved playing the character and wish there were more.

Even beyond doubting it, I would have to very much hope that she wouldn't re-up for more Hunger Games.

It's time to move on, I think.
