Golden Globes is this Sunday. I can't wait to see what Joanne is wearing.

I'm also sure she won't win but at least she's nominated and we'll see her there.

Joanne at the Golden Globes .... Congrats, Joanne! She totally earned it, and even though it was grueling to watch that storyline I can't imagine a more deserving actress.

Sorry Joanne for not being so optimistic about your win after all the hate with her SL. This pretty much makes up for all those hate.

Thanks for posting that YT clip of her acceptance speech. Bless her, made me a bit teary-eyed.

Her Marchesa gown was lovely btw. It's simple but not-so over the top.

Haha, I didn't expect her to win either. Not because she isn't immensely talented, but the category was tough. I'm so glad she was recognized though! A well deserved win!

Huge congrats to Joanne! She won a Golden Globe, that's amazing, especially since the other actresses are really talented too. Kudos! And I loved her speech, the bit about the letter she received made me a bit emotional.

You all said it best. It's not because I thought she's not an amazing actress but because she was nominated against really talented actresses, it was a tough category and the GGs sometimes stick to old favorites.

From what she said there, Joanne didn't expect it either, I thought she was destined to be the bridesmaid, never the bride, very happy to be proved wrong.

it was the first surprise of the night. at least for me, I haven't really heard the experts predicting her to win, but it was a very pleasant surprise

My Banna shipper heart wished she had also mentioned Brendan directly in her speech, but she did thank all of her DA castmates ... and there's a lot of people she works with. She mentioned Fellowes though.
