Ray works (owns?) at the bar and was one of the guards. He's also the one who raised Rebecca.

It's easy to get confused with a new show. Especially one that introduces so many characters.

Dude love Rebecca's history. What's the deal though- why is her grandfather so important, why does everyone want him so badly? And now there is a 3rd generation (ie Rebecca) who is nearly as important.
I'm sure had Rebecca's father lived Hauser would've offered him the same job since he had offered it to her great uncle (ie Ray). __________________
