This relationship is crazy, mainly because of Tate though.

But in the beginning it seemed it could be a nice friendship. I think Ben liked him and Tate just wanted a friend.

I agree, I think Tate needed someone to have a different view about him and to help him through, not to mention a father figure, I'm positive thing would have been different if Tate wouldn't have started to like Violet and Ben hadn't freaked out about it

ITA about the father figure thing. I think Tate lacked that when he was growing up.

Maybe they will start to bond since they will see each other for ever. I think Tate finally apologizing was a good start for him.
