Well that changed to some extent these days aswell ... probably after S3 the Bonnie who we know wouldn't have let insult her like that at the 20s dance, his hair would have been on fire if he served her that lame apology.

So basically as sad as this may sound, they made her a weaker mute character?:look: The more the seasons go, the weaker and less outspoken she becomes.

Basically ... I think the writers didn't expect such a backlash back in season 2 when she set Damon on fire (with all the threats to Bonnie and Kat) and I think because of that they got influenced by the fandom and made her either not even comment on anything or just let her be okay with stuff that season 1 Bonnie would have never let happen.

They should've just keep writing the show the same way... I felt Season 2 was odd because of that, Bonnie basically really disliked vampires to working with them again overnight.

I think TVD are one of those shows that would've been better if it came out in the 90s... not too much social media to worry about.
Probably Bonnie would be written better, I loved when she came back in episode 1x19, and she was all strong and not having it. I felt the end of Season 1 was the strongest Bonnie was as a character.

Still why I say S1 was the best season for this show.

Regulus-Fan 12-13-2013 08:55 AM

^It definitely was.

And I agree with you about the show being better in the 90s because you can see how much the writers are influenced by the response from the fans in the social media. For example we wouldn't have gotten Klaroline to that extent if it wasn't for the internet fandom.

eternalfate 12-14-2013 01:46 PM

Yup agreed, it's too bad... this show would've probably been so much better if it existed in the 90s... now everything with TVD is just gonna get influenced by the the social media.

NOLA504 12-14-2013 06:03 PM

that's pretty much the case with a lot of shows that are involved with social media.

eternalfate 12-14-2013 07:10 PM

Yeah it's really too bad... probably one of the reasons 85% of these nowadays shows can't touch the past shows. lol

Although I love some shows in the UK. lol
Oh and I love Arrow and Sleepy Hollow.... I love Law & Order but I can't really count that seeing as how that came out in the 90s. lol

I really want Stefan/Bonnie to have a scene within the next three episodes...

NOLA504 12-14-2013 07:14 PM

There are still some great shows out there tho.

It's really the best chance we have of them getting a scene in while since they're all together.

eternalfate 12-14-2013 07:20 PM

There are... it seems all are getting consumed by love triangles though...
Praying Sleepy Hollow stays away from that!... There are some good shows though.. I like Twisted.. another show that will probably get messed up cause of a love triangle.

Oh and I love Supernatural as well... not love triangles on that, just anti love triangle heaven.

Yeah I saw the promo from the next episode... I'm going to assume Stefan won't be there during the anti-Katherine talk... although I'd like a sarcasm quote thrown in there with all the bad Damon has done... because that promo had me rolling my eyes, Damon & Caroline in the same room talking about everything Katherine has done wrong? wow. lol

NOLA504 12-14-2013 07:26 PM

Why i'm glad my favorite two shows don't have love triangles:sigh::bunny:

Yeah i watch Twisted too, I knew the triangle was coming since the beginning hopefully it isn't ruined from it.

Yeah Damon has no room to talk:lol: Stefan might be with Katherine most of the time, but he'll hear what they're talking about:lol:

Lol I wonder if they will talk at the death bed about how Damon should shut up and think about his own wrong-doings.

Yeah I know.... Caroline and Bonnie really have no business in the conversation... Damon made their life more miserable then Katherine did... although Katherine killed Caroline, she prefers being a vampire over being human so... yeah.:look: lol
I like how they are handling Katherine's "death" realistic though, when Damon was dying in 2x22, it was all sad times. lol just ridiculous.

So nice change.

Yup, I said it in another thread, Bonnie/Jer/Caro shouldn't have been angsty at the film screening at the town square but should have been celebrating that this guy is finally biting the dust after what he did to them.

I agree ... and then they tried to force a Stefan/Caroline friendship that came out of nowhere, imo. Even though I do like some of the Stefan/Caroline scenes.
