I haven't heard his recent interviews or anything, but it seems like he is still into it even if he don't ever seem to like his TVD storylines. lol |
He usually is always joking in the interviews I see so I don't really know his mindset but you could be right, I think he wants to be on a better and different written show and if he could get one or two episodes to direct per season then he would be happy.
