Thanks for creating the thread.
What's everyone's overall feel of John? Personally, I feel that he can get angry too quickly. But I can see that he's trying to do better throughout each episode. |

Do you think that John will level out through the series, or do you think otherwise?

I hope to see him level off a bit more; he has had the tendency to be overpowering.

He does... like how he was pushing for Daphne to get a cochlear implant. This is a hot topic in the deaf community.
What other projects has D.W. Moffett played in? Honestly, this is the first I have heard of him... |

I'd never heard of him before either. But I just looked him up and it says he was in Friday Night Lights for some time, guest starred in quite a few shows and was in four movies- "Falling Down" "Traffic" "Thirteen" and "Stealing Beauty"

Thanks, Jess!
I don't watch Friday Night Lights. Has anyone else? What was his character like? |

I agree about his overpowering nature. He does seem to take that overboard a little - it would be nice to see him mellow a little bit and take some things into consideration, like what Kathryn thinks, or even either of his daughters.

I watched the first season of Friday Night Lights when they aired it in ABC Family last year but then they stopped it so I never finished it, so I haven't seen his character yet. Someday when I get a chance I really want to finish it on Netflix.
What do you think of his attitude about suing the hospital? I think he tends to take that too far. |

I could understand a lawsuit given such a grievious error but I think there comes a time to settle unless the hospital is really trying to be difficult in owning up to what their at fault for. So, in that way, I don't fault him for having a sense of justice - I just think that he may push to hard and in the end, lose everything if not careful.

Regina made a comment that she's not one of those people who sue someone because of hot coffee, but I think the issue with the hospital is definitely worth pursuing to an extent. But he should be more willing to settle it and hopefully doesn't push too far in the end.

^ Yeah, hot coffee - that's absurd, it's a matter of common sense. We know Coffee is hot, it'll always be hot, and common sense dictates: be careful.
But a baby switch at a hospital is not something that is supposed to happen. It's negligent on a big level so I do understand why John feels the way he does. __________________

Yeah, I totally agree on how John feels, but John and Regina are different people... I think Regina just doesn't want to go through the motions, or perhaps she's OK w/ how things laid out whereas John isn't. I think John will pursue this until he has gone through all of his options.

Yeah, I agree about John. Regina, I think, found some peace and meaning out of what happened but John is still feeling the injustice of it all. I guess both are purposeful in their own right.
