Feel bad for Daphne in that case - she didn't even want to go take the test but Regina talked her into it. Not that Bay knew that, but it doesn't help matters to lay into somebody like that...makes them feel even worse.
 Daphne and Emmett in the same room. Am I imagining things? Perhaps the writers finally remembered that they're friends.__________________

Well, they're in an emotional situation. Bay isn't thinking clearly. Just like Daphne won't be when she tells Regina it's all her fault.

I have never been so thankful in my life that a tv show didn't have an opening sequence! And although it was in the sneak peeks, Katherine's line about God to Regina is some seriously impressive writing on the writers' part.

It's hard for me to see Angelo like that. My husband was in that same state nine years ago, machines breathing for him. At one point I was told that there might be a slight chance he could wake up, so I stayed in his hospital/ICU room til 2 am one night and covered the wall around his bed with pictures of our son (3 years old at the time) so that the first thing he would see when he opened his eyes would be our beautiful little boy who loved and missed his Daddy. I was in the same position Regina was in. You cling to whatever you can. You tell yourself that HE's different, that he can and will come back. Then the phone keeps ringing with bad news. Bad to worse. Finally, you almost don't want to answer the phone anymore. Reality sets in and you realize the man you love is already gone.
My sympathy goes out to all the characters in this scene ... and, because I experienced the same thing, to Regina most of all. __________________

Grief is a funny thing. Everyone is doing a great job a portraying it. It brings me back to when my grandpa was on life support after his battle with cancer and we had to let him go. Doing what the ill wants versus what loved ones want is the hardest part of this situation and the show is doing a great job portraying that! And it's heartbreaking.
And Wes&FredFan, I just saw your message. I'm so sorry for all that you went through. There are never words for situations like those and I'm sorry you had to go through that. __________________

I'm going to have to take a bit of time to process this one. Words don't really do it justice.
We do know what the genetic condition is that might affect Bay, an AVM. Those are serious. A teacher at my school lost her 8 year old son to one a few years ago, and she educates everyone that she can. In the promo, that's Tank looking not too happy with Emmett. I was hoping this episode of Switched at Birth would allow Bay & Emmett to pull closer together. While Bay did ultimately listen to Emmett, she also accused him of taking Daphne's side over hers before that moment. And all the events occurring around Bay & Emmett seemed to drive something of a wedge between them. I loved the episode overall. As someone who lost my dad suddenly when I was 9 years old, it all felt very real to me. Lizzy Weiss tweeted that Bay will have twins in the future. That makes me happy. |
