Since Will was there during the first curse and has curse memories, he knows how to work modern technology. So pretty sure he could get a job if he wanted - though he'd may have to grovel a lot to get a job at Granny's again

Although stealing from the rich to give the poor isn't much of an occupation in Storybrooke. With Rumple gone that pretty much only leaves Regina to steal from.

Wow, nobody's posted here in a month. Anyway, I've seen only a tiny bit of spoiler for Will for 4b, so I'm going to pessimistically set my expectations low--that way I won't be disappointed and maybe I'll even be pleasantly surprised. Last year Michael was able to guest star on 2 British shows, Inspector George Gently and Silent Witness, so I'm hoping he will pop up on the BBC again this year so I can at least see him on something. Plus he's rumored to be up for a comedy film, Full Bodied, whic, if true, will be a lovely change of pace from all his gritty dramas and music videos.

I am quite curious what role Will is going to play this half season. So far I haven't really seen why they wanted him as regular, but maybe that will become clearer. I do love those interactions he's had with the rest of the cast.

The show runners really talked him up as really important. So the longer they hold the story off the greater his importance to the story grows. I would hate to be disappointed.

So he's headed back to England the end of this week. Adding this to the fact that there's been zero spoilers/mentions/photos/on set spotting a of Will Scarlet, I am holding out very little hope that we will see much of him in 4b, no matter what A&E have said. If he was filming, someone would have heard or seen something.
