They're trying to get by and survive in this world together. She wants to help him get away with stealing watches by stealing said watches. They both got "issues" with love. They're not criminals with an intend to hurt anyone, but to survive. Emma is letting her guard down for him. Faking labor to get away? Watching a thievery couple shop-lifting never was that entertaining. Henry playing "matchmaker" for his parents? Head-canon accepted. "Maybe we met for a reason. Maybe something good came from us being together" ●●Wishlist●● Neal finding out that Emma kept the key chain and turned it into a necklace. Emma learning he kept the dreamcatcher. Emma to learn about August breaking them up and taking the money. Emma to learn Neal has always loved her. Emma, Neal and Henry to be a family. Neal finding out she kept the car. TFTNT! Here's a a part of the podcast you seek! As a quick thought once crossed Eddy's mind, they'd got a plan B to match Neal with another character because too many smart Oncellers had hit the point of his real identity, but fortunately, they stuck to their original script regardless of fans' speculation. :D

So glad they stuck to that original plan. Yeah we may have figured it out but like Eddie said, it adds so much history to these characters. You go back on their individual time lines and you now get to see how fate brought them together. And I agree with them in that "you really made it feel real". I've loved this show because of the family drama and the emotinal drama but that scene in the apartment really hightened everything and brought it to a whole new level. It's been nearly a week since the Manhattan episode but I am still continually amazed by how impressive that scene was. For me it definately is one of the best scenes we've ever had on the show (and I'm including season 1 here which is a rare thing for me to do since I usually evaluate things by season and not as a general whole.) :thud: |

I'm glad they stuck to their original plan :nod: Many writers from other tv shows choose to go with the "shock value" factor to surprise the viewers rather than telling stories organically, and that damages the show after a while. I'm really happy they decided to put the story first :) |
In retrospect, this could be tracked back to the pilot where Emma mentioned and understated Henry's father when Regina asked about it. Afterwards, to strike Emma and drift her away from Henry, more history of her came to light by Regina and Sidney's sabotage. The traces were already there. :D

Some say it's predictable or fans guessed it but it was predicted cause they gave a build up to it, they gave hints and clues and I'd be more mad if they hints and clues were false, it'd be like why bother with the build up just to go with an out of nowwhere shock value twist. |
