I did feel bad for Ingrid she was good before she was sucked in the urn. Her sister death was an accident

Great. Now I feel sorry for her. I mean it honestly was an accident!
Is it too late to hope for a redemption? SHe's not so much "evil" ok... a little..but confused and afraid |

Her backstory is very upsetting. :( When she accidently killed her sister that was UGH HEARTBREAKING. |
Her backstory explained quite a few things - and I bet those ribbons will come into play again.

Elizabeth was great in last night's eppy....and that was a bit of a shocker about Ingrid's sister

My poor sad baby. :bawl: That was like double torture for me because I hate seeing Liz sad (too many Lost flashbacks), but I also loved Sally Pressman, who played Helga, on Army Wives so watching her die sucked.

It was really heartbreaking

Hmmm. As much as I'd love that, her ice form shattered into pieces when Ingrid tried to hold her and touch her after she was frozen. I think that pretty much means she's dead. :(

Gerda clearly reacted out of grief and anger when she entrapped Ingrid in the Urn. But what I do not understand is why she never attempted to correct her impulsive reaction by freeing her sister and hearing her out.
I know the sisters shared a life long bond and Ingrid put all her faith and trust in both of them with keeping her secret; however, I think after a rewatch, it was clearer to me that Helga was really the one who held the complete unwavering support and trust in her sister. She did not even need to hear out an explanation from Ingrid, she instinctively knew Weasleton was the weasle, lol. Gerda, on the other hand, I believe harbored a fear deep.down inside. She did love her sister too but I think she tried to subdue her concerns and worries. Those fears bubbled back to the surface when she caved in and offered up Rumplestiltskin as a possible solution to Ingrid's powers. It is also evident in that she wanted to find a way to dispose of her own daughter's magic. Ingrid met a tragic fate. Her sister's accidental death was her own worst fear come to life and to be faced with her remaining sister's rejection of her had to be awful to witness, moments before she sentenced her to an imprisonment eternity in an urn. She definitely carries a sad backstory like the others but she does not necessarily win for duration, lol. I think her own perceived worst enemy for such a long time was herself but she did at least appear to have sincere love and support for a long time. Probably makes the climax to her situation all the more tragic because she in essence had all that love and support but then was betrayed so unexpectedly by who she least expected. |
