THE FATE OF STORYBROOKE HANGS IN THE BALANCE WHEN EMMA’S AND HOOK’S RELATIONSHIP IS TESTED AS NEVER BEFORE, ON ABC’S “ONCE UPON A TIME”

“Broken Heart” – In a Camelot flashback, Hook becomes a Dark One and his lust for revenge against Rumplestiltskin is reignited. When Emma and Hook disagree about their best course of action, the final pieces of the puzzle are revealed as events in Camelot catch up to the present and we witness a charged confrontation between the forces of light and dark that sends our heroes on a collision course with destiny. Meanwhile, in Storybrooke, Hook’s centuries old lust for revenge against Gold puts both of their fates in jeopardy while Emma’s love faces the ultimate test as she tries to convince Hook to turn away from the darkness before she, Mary Margaret, David and Regina embark on a new mission as an unsuspected evil is released, on the ABC Television Network.

I am so proud of Rumple. I understand why Belle doesn't want to restart things with him, but it broke my heart anyway. I hope Rumple does not falter because of it and proves to her what kind of man he has become. All the DOs, huh? I would have thought there would be more, but I guess DO are kinda expensive. lol

Question: Excalibur was whole before he placed it back in the stone. Question: How did it break?

So forgetting he was a Dark One made Hook forget the lust for revenge that is part and parcel of being a Dark One? I'm sorry I'm trying so hard and I just can't buy it. And now every human that has been a vessel for the greatest evil of this universe is back from Hell. Every wicked soul who only went to Hell when the next sinner murdered him or her and became the darkest being on Earth. I asked before and I'm asking now, In what way is this not the apocalypse?

We don't get to see outlaw queen convo about all of this. Apparently happened off screen. No baby name. Just baby hood. Only reason baby was brought into storyline was to redeem zelena. Only high point is baby hood cried when placed into zelenas arms. I'm so annoyed right now. Yes I know it's just a TV show but still annoyed.

What a fantastic, heart-wrenching, how-the-hell-is-he-going-to-recover-from-this episode.

Definitely my favorite of the season but damn, it was painful.

I haven't always liked the decisions that the producers and writers have made, but I've always tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and trusted that they'll be able to justify the choices they've made. However, this time out I'm finding iit difficult to do so. There's nothing inherently wrong with the narrative direction they've gone, but I just don't really see the point of it, especially since I cant sjale this feeling that they've diluted the impact of the series-altering decision they made at the end pf last season to turn Emma into the Dark Swan.

Maybe next week's episode and future analysis of this arc over the hiatus will change my mind, but, for now, I've hit ambivalence, and it saddens me immensely because I absolutely love the series in general and have been enthusiastically and wholeheartedly supportive of it from the very beginning.
