I don't actually prefer one over the other. Maybe Snow was gentle and quiet when her father was alive. She probably wasn't the badass we all know and love but circumstances with the Queen forced her to change her nature to deal with her reality now. She couldn't afford to be a nice thief or gentle with the trolls. She would have most likely been killed if she didn't learn to defend herself. She became who she is by the very nature of her situation. I think we will start to see some of that in Mary.

I agree with Miran. We have no idea what Snow was like before the EQ started trying to kill her. We need a SW flashback episode.

Yes we do and not one where the Queen is already actively trying to kill her. I'd like to see how the Queen came into their lives.
