Has anyone watched the Beauty and the Beast's true love kiss in Phantom of the Opera before? That movie is my favorite all the time, and that kiss is probably the most classical and magical kiss of true love! At the ending, the beast forced the beauty to make a choice: send her true love, also her childhood sweetheart to the grave, or marry him and be with him in the rest of her life. With this kiss, she successfully saved her man and dramatically killed the beastliness. Christine and the Phantom bear a lot of resemblance to Rumbelle.

I WORSHIP this movie! I watch it at least once a week. It's so dark and romantic and it has such a strong Beauty and the Beast theme to it. I absolutely agree that Belle and Rumpel are very similar to Eric and Christine. Let's just hope it doesn't end the same way.

I saw the CW B&B trailer and... dude I am so not watching that! How can you have mr. normal looking hot young guy be the beast???

I heard rumors he is either a werewolf or a miltary scientific experiment-hulk type thing.

Disappointed ABC didnt pick up their version of the B&B.

Yeah, I was bummed when ABC didn't pick up the Beauty and the Beast show. But they were probably thinking that they already have a show based on fairytales. Why make a second one?

Still pretty bummed though. Ever since I got into OUAT, I've become increasingly obsessed with fairytales.

A nice heroic hot guy who occasionally turns into a werewolf thing is not the Beast! Grrr! I know I may be splitting hairs but I think the Beast needs to be someone that is scary... at lest I little... Rum may be hot stuff but he's not a classic beauty and he at lest has some unnatural looks going on... I feel like GRRM must be rolling around in his... big piles of money because he's not dead and GoT has hit it big but... the idea stands!

But I dont know even though OUAT is a mixture of fairytales and modern day. I think if it was ABC B&B was picked up it would have done pretty well if it was paired up with OUAT. Plus I think it is more fantasy than the CW version.

I think the CW version Beast has anger issues as well. So he might have a Jekel and Hyde thing going on.
