HOOK AND URSULA’S HISTORY IS REVEALED, ON ABC’S “ONCE UPON A TIME”

“Hook leverages his complicated history with Ursula to find out what she knows about Gold’s endgame. Gold and the Queens of Darkness torture August for information about the Author as Emma, Mary Margaret and David race to find them. Regina grows concerned for Robin Hood’s safety while she struggles to maintain her cover with the villains. In a Fairy Tale Land flashback, when a restless young Ursula enlists Hook’s help to run away from home, she soon learns it isn’t wise to trust a pirate.

“Once Upon a Time” stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Lana Parrilla as the Evil Queen/Regina, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/David Nolan, Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Colin O’Donoghue as Hook, Jared S. Gilmore as Henry, Michael Socha as Will Scarlet and Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold.

Guest stars include Eion Bailey as August, Merrin Dungey as Ursula, Victoria Smurfit as Cruella De Vil, Sean Maguire as Robin Hood, Christopher Gauthier as William Smee, JoAnna Garcia Swisher as Ariel, Ernie Hudson as Poseidon, Tiffany Boone as Young Ursula and Kristin Bauer van Straten as Maleficent.

”Poor Unfortunate Soul” was written by Andrew Chambliss and Dana Horgan and directed by Steve Pearlman.

As long as you live in my ocean, you'll live by my rules. Seriously? They trotted out that tired old relic of a line? Oh and if Regina can throw her voice to speak out of anyone she wants why hasn't she before? But Yay for Hook and Ursula conflict!

Whew! This has to be one of my least favorite episodes of the season if not the series. The main plot with Ursula was just bad and highly unoriginal.

Ursula became a ripped off version of Ariel, with Poseidon becoming a ripped off version of Triton. Her entire life of being a "villain" is because her singing voice is taken from her, she turns herself into an Octopus just to spite her father. Nothing about this was interesting or endearing to me. Ursula already had an intriguing background to expand on in the movie. Not to mention that now we are basically on our 3rd version of the character in the same show. We've had Regina!Ursula, Goddess!Ursula (since it seems like the one we encountered in that statue wasn't this Ursula) and nu!Ursula. She was such a let down in every sense of the word and the writers just failed at adapting her.

As nice as it was to see Ariel again, she was useless and disappeared just as quick as she appeared.

The plot with Pinocchio was far more interesting and incorporating the nose was nice and funny.

And I know this arc is Heroes vs. Villains but can they stop saying those 2 words? It just takes away from the moment and sounds silly with how they constantly use them.

I liked it quite a bit. Happy about the surprises here. The episode cemented the QOD as tragic villains and Rumple as the real villain yet again.

I have to agree with this. Ariel either needs to appear more in subsequent episodes or it will just feel like an odd-scene. What's the point of bringing her back for one scene?

And they better keep August his grown, normal!version, as I don't see a point in again changing him. And well, since they seem to be bringing everyone back, it would make a nice moment to make him fit this story-line.

SO happy August is a guy again!

Thought everything was a liiiiittle too neatly wrapped up at the end but Ursula got her happy ending back! Onto Cruella LOL!

But I am happy for her, and I cannot WAIT for next week's ep

Oh Emma and Killian at the end? Yeeeeeeeeeeees
