I think as soon as he realized Emma didn't believe he could fight it, he stopped trying because she was the only one who he thought believed in him. He didn't even believe in himself. She should have been honest with him from the start...I think he would have responded better.

But i also feel Hook has a bigger plan... Hook is intelligent and resourceful so there has to be something else going on

That scene with the darkness entering Hook and reliving all that painful stuff screaming in agony freaked me out!

Agree. I think it broke him to realize she didn't trust him to control the darkness. And he painfully laid it all out for her that he'd always supported her and the one time he needed her to trust him, she didn't. And it broke him.

He did say after 'Excalibur' all bets were off. So he was with Emma and fighting it until little apparition Rumple whispered evil nothings in his ear.

Me, too. I wasn't expecting it at all.

Totally approve the selection of red smoke for Dark Killian. Fits his character perfectly. :)

Same. I wasnt expecting but i think for Hook since he has darkness and the pain he went through due to that darkness was engulfed with the dark one curse too
