I think this moment made me scream louder than anything else that happened in the episode.

This was so very important for both Captain Swan and Captain Cobra. For Captain Cobra this is important because this tag teaming to find a house together. This is an operation that they put together. It was for the woman they love more than anything. This can be categorized as a step father, son activity. This is also a moment that brings awareness to how close Henry and Killian have become. Henry has come along way from not being sure about Emma dating Killian to him helping Killian find a house for his mother. Of course Killian had to involve Henry in it knowing Henry means everything to Emma and knowing how important Henry is to his relationship with her. Killian let him know that the house was a promise for their future. Killian was being open and honest with Henry and he trusted Henry with this secret.

For Captain Swan this is important because the house was/is their future. Killian searching for a home was his way of making a promise to Emma They were going to get that “white picket fenced” life. He was fighting for that life. Emma seemed completely taken back from it (which was because she was feared the future). But this moment did seem like a wake up call for her. This man that she loves so much, worked with her son who she loves most in the world, to find a home for her. Having a home is something that is so important for Emma and two people she loves searched to find her one.

I agree, its important to see this. And see Emma with them together, making a life in the new home and so on

I'd like to for the story to show Emma start establishing a new home and life with them. Not the inferences or off screen, but actual conversations between and among themselves.
