Schmidt isn't big on CeCe saying she's in control of the relationship she's in to Dirk.

CeCe's attempts to seduce Schmidt.

Oh my gosh. Schmece having sex in the back of the vehicle and now Winston's driving to Mexico.

the officer opens the back of the vehicle to reveal cece and schmidt.
"i can't... sir," deadpans a shocked winston. "no one in the entire universe can explain that."

You would now get why Cece felt the need to hide her relationship with Schmidt. It's not because she wasn't into him but she didn't want to deal with others opinions. Winston saying "the world is upside down" and "no one in the entire universe can explain that."... you know? LOVE THIS EPISODE SO MUCH

How was Winston singing?

yeah. IMO why wouldn't she? He is amazing But he wasn't the guy most people think Cece matches / deserves... etc?

CeCe got to see a different side of Schmidt that I don't think he ever showed anyone else, which is where the confusion came into play.
